This is by far the best review I’ve seen for this guitar. Also you sir, are a great guitarist. I enjoyed hearing you play.

I just saw your video twice, it was a nice review, you say so many things but, dude, its very entertaining, one of the best reviews of an electric guitar on KZbin. Thanks!

Nice review, I have the fixed bridge version with a Rosewood Fingerboard. I envy the the reverse headstock on this one. Pretty solid guitar for the price, and a decent modding platform.

I saw this guitar from across the sales floor and knew I needed to have it. Then I played it and it was so smooth! I could finally bend! (I'm pretty new to guitar). Just loved it. Took a few days of constantly stretching strings to keep her in tune, but it's getting much better now. The light weight, satin finish and that gorgeous dark wood grain on the back combined with the smooth as silk maple is just perfect.

Much as I like the Andy, Pete, Brett, Shane, Rob/Lee, Mick/Dan etc YT reviews, I DO really enjoy more of a "regular guy" review like this. Thanks. Told me what I wanted to know - neck, quality - and let me hear what i wanted to hear, especially CLEANS, which so often get shorted or left out completely. Yep, I want one.

I just bought this exact same guitar(dragon's eye burst), @ Guitar Center, $499,+15% off. I did the same thing, played the Ibanez Jem Jr. & I actually liked this guitar better. It's a great guitar, highly recommend it!!!! Great playing & review bro!!!

Dave Byron it’s on sale at Musicians Friend for $399 + 15% off free shipping and maybe tax free depending on where you live. Try to save some money bro! SALUTE2018 is the promo code. Guitar Center should be able to price match it all the way just like did for this guitarist in the video.

Got one , the action is so low, no neck slack in middle but still no string buzz? Must be great fret work.

I picked one up last month at GC for 300 dollars. Played three of them. Two sounded ok but one of those had terrible fret work. The third one i picked up sounds like an acoustic unplugged. It resonates like crazy. Neendless to say i grabbed that one.

I am really starting to like this Ibanez. In fact I want one but I'm wondering if they srill make this specific one. I had found one somewhat like this but without the maple fretboard, which I would rather get. This is a great review and demo for sure. Thanks much...

I know this is an older review but I'm picking up one tonight used for 200 bucks except its blue same reverse headstock...and tremolo... do you still own this and has the tremolo held up after 3 years? Thanks for the review and any information

Just bought that same guitar that was gently used...to re sell, now im conflicted...bc i like this little ibby too much...with some up grades ...pups ...which do not suck....as u said also, ...but considerring a high end bucker in the bridge...and floyd up grade, I would consider using it in my Christian rock band...good review

Yes it’s an amazing mod platform! I sold mine to buy something else and have regretted it ever since.

Hey man quick question for you. I have a choice between this a an Esp Ltd mh1000 older model about 15 years older but good condition , what would you chose ???
@MarbsMusic3 жыл бұрын
Probably the MH1000 from Korea, these are great but those LTD from World Music are usually pretty phenomenal

i've been eyeing this guitar...i couldnt decide between this, the Shecter Banshee or a Fender Player series... this one is the cheapest of the three but i REALLY want that strat twang and an HSS... also got me a Katana 100... nice surprise to see you had one too. now i can really get a feel for the tone. I think the 5 way switch has sold me on this Ibanez.

Does the whammy bar come with the guitar or do you have to buy it separately?
@MarbsMusic5 жыл бұрын
Yes
@MarbsMusic5 жыл бұрын
It comes with the guitar, the manufacturer will always include the bar with a locking trem. A store might lose it and give you a discount to get another but it should always be included from the factory.
@jansanchez8795 жыл бұрын
Ok thank you now I think I’m going to buy the guitar soon
@invid0245 жыл бұрын
Do you think it will need a pro setup if I buy this from musiciansfriend ebay store soon? Its November 2019 now and I don't know how old the stock of this guitar is
@MarbsMusic5 жыл бұрын
Mine was setup well out of the box but that was over a year ago so it's definitely possible. If it's been in a controlled warehouse it's probably ok but IMHO all guitars or almost all, should have a full setup. There are a lot of videos online on how to do a basic setup, perhaps I need to create one as well. I may try to do that in the coming weeks.

Ibanez moderatel/low priced guitars Ie. These RGA's, RG 450/470, Jem jr. etc. Those now are usually coming w/ Ibanez DL trem (which just stands for Double Locking.). it is cheap, I don't like them at all, one reason why I kinda quit buying these guitars. I wish they'd go back to at least the Edge zero 2 like my old Rg350DXZ. Out of the guitars Ibanez offered in this range I liked that trem the most.
@MarbsMusic5 жыл бұрын
Yes and it's important to note that they are Floyd Rose copies not Edge copies. The spacing is different. So if you want to replace them you can't buy an original Edge, Edge 2, Lo Pro etc... you have to buy a FR. Me personally, and I have had FR, Edge and even a Kahler on my Explorer back in the 80s, like the original Edge the best. IMHO there is more nuance and control.
