When somebody commented against any GM for that matter, many will say that because we are not on the same level with that GM then we are not entitled to our own opinion. If this is the logic of many, then we will just ask KZbin to take out entirely the comment section. It is also in this regard that commentators and streamers are allowed to comment in a game and yet they are also way below the level of Super GMs…

The way Gm WSo talked about MCarlsen before their winner take all matches "to take easy on him" was a manifestation of fear. Psychologically, WSo already defeated himself. One loses nothing if he plays aggressive chess and taking risks in playing MCarlsen. Hope that will be the strategy of WSo in 2024. Mabuhay ka Wesley.

Ang problema sa style ni Wesley ay alisin nya yung pagiging "timid" nya. Be aggressive and dynamic. Your psychologically accepting to yourself that when it comes of playing against Magnus eh your letting your ego being bullied by players stronger than you. Wrong approach yan Wesley. Your playing solid style are really inviting to your opponent to attack you. Be a counter attacker Wesley.

You are wrong. Wesley's style is more positional than otherwise. Under extreme time pressure, you can not always find the best move. Wesley beat Magnus several times in the tournament. And he reached the finals, you didn't. He won 100k, you didn't. He is a super GM, you're not. So stop being overly judgmental and be more objective with Wesley. He is a national treasure of a country that forced him to escape to the US because of corruption in his own country. Again, and again, dude, you don't always find the best moves under any time format. I hope you will give more credit and respect to Wesley.

@@steadylearner1 as a positional chessplayer, once he got matured,his understanding are quite much deeper. You are right, i'm not a professional and a Super GM but based on my understanding, i'm entitled to share my comment and opinion. Kaya nga may comment section dito sa baba like yours and mine. What iwant to emphasize in Wesley's play is to play in aggressive,dynamic play. Your right,it is not easy to find a strong moves in a limited time of play,look at MVL, bakit sya suki ni MVL? He even gave a comment that "He doesn't want to play against MVL again" and that is counter productive. Kaya pinakikita at pinararamdam ni MVL kay Wesley yung superiority nya dahil yun ang kakulangan sa kanya. What else will happen if Wesley loss? 2nd place di ba? Then give a chance to yourself to be a fighter. You play chess too based on your comment but you also feel what is missing? All of us must learn from our defeat in every games and that is a moral lesson. Eh ano kung matalo si Wesley,will he be place at the very bottom of the tournament? Syempre hindi.
