the ammo and reload buff on her alpha is a massive buff to her. she really needed them. i still like to go alpha>gamma>beta simply due to the fact she can 1hko 250 HP characters with her lvl 9 gamma if she has a red card and beta damage is pretty inconsistent unless your enemy is right in your face or against walls.. now that idas health is 250 she can 1 shot all the speed characters now with her lvl 9 gamma!

I had a game where I was getting picked on by an Iida right at the start in Landslide. We traded a bunch and he ran off behind the building we were playing around to seemingly heal so I did the same. Popped a small drink and swerved the camera around trying to find my team to regroup, when I noticed him dashing around the other side of the building to flank me. I was running in the opposite direction so he probably assumed I didn't see him, so I waited for him to get close then quick-turned into beta. Dude impaled himself on my vines and died. I love Ibara's beta.

2 betas is an insanely good buff because it's a super armor move that you're supposed to use defensively. It's stops most rush attacks (like deku's kick) in it's tracks. And since you have 2 now, you always have that counter play.

What I envy about Ibara players is that everyone is quick to help you out. I love it and hate it because I don’t play her. That Toga teammate in the first match was going mad strong to protect the hell out of you and I love to see it but I only really see it when there’s an Ibara on the team.

Been using Ibara in solo matches lately, she's actually real fun there, she excels in poking enemies from afar in the middle of chaos, got multikills by just throwing my Alpha in the middle of some people fighting. Actually really solid in 1v1s too because you can actually hit people behind walls, inside buildings and stuff. Playing keepaways and outranging everyone is how you win solo matches.

Now that Ibara has some proper buffs, here's my opionon on how to level her up. Alpha: It now has more shots and getting that extra charge a lvl 4 is huge. That's should be the main priority. Beta: The extra charge on all levels makes this a super good move in general. The main advantage is that it can hit multiple ppl in a wide area and its a good defensive move especially for Ochaco's car (gamma is very hard to grab her through that). Gamma: This is perfect for 1v1 situations and a high level grab can scare off even the beefiest kirishima. It's harder to land than the beta though and it leaves you stationary, so it's a high risk high reward sort of thing. It basically depends if you wanna be strong at range or up close. Because once someone gets close to Ibara, she ain't getting away so you gotta finish them one way or another.

Alpha > Gamma > Beta, since you mostly use Beta for defensive purposes anyway and it changes nothing except the amount of damage. You want to help your teammates or poke enemies from afar with your Alphas, and grab enemies that tried getting to close like Kirishimas, Shiggys, Shotos or Iidas.

from an offensive pov youre playing her fine, from a defensive id say you werent. i.e. we had a shiozaki CHARGE into the mine with like 4 enemies in there, yes there was a honda civic uraraka and a todo in there as well. she charged in there like she was an Assault character and went down FAST. one of those flanking situations where there was no way we'd be able to recover her with the heat. she was our only source of revive too. so i think thats why half if not more importantly than anything shiozakis need to play defensively and be very mindful of their footing, where they choose to shoot off their alphas, is the gamma worth it, should i poke the bear first etc etc bc a dead shiozaki means she isnt getting her team up she should never be the first to go down also agreed about knowing the importance of her role of taking urarakas and yaoyorozus out of their betas, she's so effective at it
