Especially because I hadn't finished writing the round when the tragedy happened, and for a while it was all I could think about, much less write about. There are a good 4-to-6 bars that I wrote for this round that I didn't use because it didn't feel right. I wrote it for me, and I'm glad I did, but what ended up in the round was only what I wanted other people to hear.

Bro I think this is Khan’s best battle in a while. He’s been battling, but he seemed nervous against the pros. Crazy how Skool got Khan’s confidence up since he’s not as well known. Far and away Soul Khan’s best performance since officially re-launching his battle rap career on New Year’s Eve 2022. He gets the second round, hands-down. That really felt like vintage Grind Time era Soul Khan. Homeskool was just as creative with his bars and his angles, as he’s been for the past few years, and his genuine, heartfelt third round, was round of the battle, in my opinion. Homeskool 2-1 (1st & 3rd), and rest in peace to Renee.

SK getting more and more practice is good for battle rap. This was the cleanest he’s been since he came back. He edged this one. 2-1. The roasts and the hilarious impression of Homeskool’s voice was too much imo. I’m actually not mad at anyone who gives it to Homeskool. He had the best actual wordplay of the battle and the third was something else. Just needs to improve his delivery if you ask me. Honesty moment: I’ve never seen Homeskool.
