@Car Ram-Rod bruh, try playing a top level fox on fd with dk and see what happens... dk is so huge it's impossible to win neutral and escape combos 😒 plus his shield is one of the worst in the game so you can't really shield grab or just defend your big monkey body... not that it's very easy to shield grab top players with any character, but certainly easier than dk

@Car Ram-Rod or because he got destroyed game 3 and hes salty that he lost to a character people and maybe even he *thinks* is bad ... but obviously not that bad if rishi can take a game from him with the character. It tends to hurt way more when you lose to something you *thought* you knew the match up or the strategy for .... imagine how people felt losing to a yoshi or a pikachu before axe and amsa decided to prove the generalized people wrong. I think people only say ignorant statements so someone else can put work in for them where they wouldnt care to put the work in. As long as people generally agree to a statement you just try to be a part of majority like just because a lot of people think the same on something that makes something right (btw thats logical fallacy). People love to be a part of the noise instead of being the one that silences the noise. What satisfaction is there in using absence of evidence to make bold claims that arent definitively true ? ... lol too many people do this and it bothers me. Cant just admit maybe the character isnt bad ... the character probably struggles and has to work harder than others ... but thats still a bold claim, but definitely it can be said that maybe you are just bad with the character you claim to be trash which is evident. Thats the only statement that holds true with proof to back it. And implication helps since you say the character is trash that means what you know of the character is not good enough to do well in competition which implies your understanding of the character is trash and most likely you are trash with the character. Thats all thats known. Cuz specifically i know dk has potential just based off of what ive labbed with him and if there are characters i doubt have potential i dont just write them off as bad because i dont know shit and i dont care to put the work in to figure shit out. I let people try and figure things out so i can learn from them. You learn nothing if you dont allow people to figure things out and show you there is more to the character than you know. Be open minded stop being apart of the noise. Its unnecessary.

The eye roll from iBDW when Rishi switched to DK was hilarious to me. As bad is DK is in many respects he can still mess up fast fallers, and his giant punch is good at evening up stocks if like Fox does a poorly spaced aerial. He's low tier but he's not useless, epsecialy if you just think you can better character him.

People talking about this game don't even realize that top players can be salty. Rishi did what he thought was best and his choice of picking DK was a way to manage salt. At the same time IBDW's Reaction also was due to salt and that's completely fine. But I mean In the melee community (or even other non-melee related communities such as other FGCs or MMA or what have you) it's a pretty common thing for people to have this mentality. It just seems like to me a lot of people don't give enough respect to their fellow players. Take the player IBDW out of the equation and id still have the same opinion on certain players. Other people put a lot of time and effort in to the game and it's nice to see other players acknowledge it. To me it makes the community as a whole stronger. I immediately think of pewpewu or the moon. In my opinion they have great attitudes in that aspect.

That's just like saying your local street musician isn't good because hes not Chopin or Eddie van Halen. The respect I'm talking about isn't necessarily have to be in game it's a community based respect that carries outside the game. This game is soo God damed hard! haha I don't see why people can't just appreciate that we all play the same game that we all understand is very difficult. It’s not fair to say IBDW has a bad mentality - he has risen to top ten level very fast. He clearly has a great fighting spirit and ways to keep himself focused.
