1:04:54 Probably my most favorite scare in any game ever. No cheap/loud/sudden jumpscare, just a demon staring at you from the dark abyss waiting for an opportunity to snatch your ass. That shit's horror right there. 1:15:51 And that chase scene also one of my favorites. So much attention put into those unnatural movements. I want more of those. And 58:40 such a unique scare. It's hiding in plain sight, I only caught a glimpse of it the first time. Really unsettling stuff. Loved it. 1:17:30 And getting Donkey Punched in the back of the head is just so funny. Don't worry Berline, almost everyone fucks up the first try, it's really difficult and subtle to tell which demon is which. Best way is to re-check the bodies and to see if there are any extra marks that weren't there before, like a slight cut or something. Great vid though, would love to see another run!

I haven't watched the Mortuary's Assistant on anyone else's channel, and one thing I noticed is that the horror aspects of this game take inspiration from the more compelling paranormal footage I've seen. Carve out a couple hours to check out Nuke's Top 5 if you wanna sift through for some real freaky gems. I feel like with the type of theories Berlin is willing to entertain, this would be the place to say that I back the idea of fiction taking cues from real world examples. This is basically inoculation to the idea that something along these lines could happen. Especially like with the shadow figure quickly crossing the threshold at the end of the hallway. And the barely audible voice that made him jump. No comment on the ritual/religious aspects, but the best examples of real strange phenomenon on film are just mind boggling, and this game gives me the same vibes.
