You can access all of the hotels with the exception of the Iberostar Grand Paraíso since it is adults only. It is an enormous complex. The Iberostar Paraíso Maya has 9 pools just on its own. It is surrounded by Jungle. All resorts within the complex have access to the same beach.
As far as restaurants and bars, the Iberostar Paraíso Maya has 9 restaurants and 7 bars. When checking in, be sure to make your reservations in advance. Tables go quick and you can make reservations in any of the resorts with the exception of the Grand Paraíso. We found the food to be pretty good. House wine is a bit bland, so be sure to order from the wine list if you want something good.
The rooms are pretty large with living rooms and large bathrooms. We did have a little problem with the air conditioner not working the first night, but they fixed it before we went to bed. No need to worry about getting bottled water either. They have reusable bottles in the room that you fill from a large filtered water system in the hall of your residence complex. It was very good. You also have a fridge in the room to put you water and it is stocked with beer and soda.
There are no rooms with ocean views, this property is surrounded by jungle. The best you will do is get a pool view, so be sure to ask for that when checking in.
The complex features a pretty large mall with restaurants that are included in the all-inclusive plan. The mall has several stores, coffee shop, nightclub and even a playground for the kids.
One of the highlights of this property is Star Camp! This is a kids camp that is broken down into 3 groups: Monkey - 4 to 7 years old, Dolphin - 8 to 12 years old and Eagle - 13-17 years old. Don't make the mistake we did. We took our 9 year old daughter to Star Camp the day before we left. She absolutely loved it! She wanted to stay longer just for Star Camp. Get the kids in there the first day. They will have more time to make new friends and it will make this experience even more fun for them. The check-in and check-out system was well organized and we felt safe leaving her there.

I have a couple questions... its really tough to find accurate info online, even the Iberstar's own website doesn't have this info.. 1) If you book any one of the 5 resorts... do you get access to the entire property, pools, and restaurants? 2) If you book any one of the 5 resorts... are ALL of the restaurants all-inclusive (like the Sushi and Steak ones) or are they ala carte? 3) Also, Is there anywhere to find an accurate map of the property? If you stay at TRS you will get access to all except the family selection areas. Family Selection gives you everything except TRS. Regular hotel guests can access everything except TRS and Family Selection areas. TRS and Family selection just have a couple of places regular guests can’t go. Most everything is in the main hotel area.

how do you compare this to the grand palladium? which one is your favorite? i just finished watching that one. great video

Rooms here are a bit more dated and not as upscale as Grand Palladium (which is new). This has multiple resorts in one. You can eat at any of the restaurants in any resort. It is more jungle like than Grand Palladium. You cannot see the beach here from most rooms as they are located in the jungle. It is a beautiful resort with all the mangrove trees and there is a lot to do and the Starcamp for kids is sensational. I would stay at both resorts again.

No. Just the swim in swim out rooms have private pools. There is also a separate pool for Palladium Club Members, one for Adults only at TRS and a private pool for Family Selection.

Do you know what is the difference between the Paraiso Lindo and the Paraiso Maya? (besides de price of course). Want to book but it seems they all look exactly the same. You only miss to comment on the food, how's is it?

There are some slight differences, but from what I understand, the main difference is the ability to make dinner reservations. I think the Maya will let you make reservations for every night you are there. I think some of the others limit how many reservations you can have. We were pretty happy with the food. It will never be 5 star dining, but we were always pretty satisfied.

We were there in March right when the virus was just starting to shut things down. I would contact the hotel to see what changes are in place. I have heard that all restaurants are now ala carte and buffets are not open. However there is no limit to what you can order from the menu.

About how far of a walk is it to the beach from your room?

It really depends on where your room is located. Our was right near the wave pool and it took about 10 minutes.

I might be 6 months late to this but yeah like he said it really depends he said he had a private pool and is hotel was blue so he was in hotel 65-66 (dont remember which) but if u wanted a shorter walk u could ask for a room in hotel 60 i would recommend 62-63 because of the i believe 15 times we've been there we had a room in hotel 60 besides 2 times one was in hotel 62 and another in hotel 66 i believe. Hotel 62 seemed perfect was about 5 minutes walk to beach and maybe 7 to theater and lobby. Hope this over engineered response helps lol.
