Cak3yisLie that HM for u I loved all but 1 of his movies and I think the one I didn't like was more of someone else's style than his. But his art style, combination of music and story telling are way above most things out there and I am proud to have been able to watch his works while he was still creating them. I am really going to miss him and I am definitely passing down his movies to the next generation.

This is amazing. The Ghibli movies were a huge part of my life. They were there to comfort me, inspire me, give me courage, feed my imagination, and give me hope in any situation. If I ever felt alone, I'd put in a Miyazaki movie. I have been thinking of how I could express my thanks to Miyazaki for such heart warming productions, but now I realize that I don't have to. This describes, beautifully as well as perfectly, every fan's love and appreciation. Well done.

We all search for one thing. It unites every single person in this world, this search. When we believe we have captured this thing, we fight tirelessly to preserve it. This something we all share in common and yet we never see it in each other, the one place we can always find it. That thing, that one uniting aspiration, is to find something beautiful. Something worth dying for. Something so serene we wish it be a dream that lasts forever.

This is special to me, well, studio Ghibli is. My very first anime. I didn't even know what anime was at the time. Huh. Well, I was with my dad, it was when I was about 6 or 7. We saw The Secret Life Of Anastasia, or something like that. I can't even remember. And now that I'm thirteen, and I find out that the first thing I had ever seen, it just. That was when my life changed. I don't know. I love anime now, it takes me to a whole 'nother universe. My Manga, I feel like the characters watch me. Anime, I feel like the characters see me through the screen. I'm not good at making friends, but anime has helped me alot. It's my other life, you could say. And it all started because of a coincidence. I haven't seen any other studio Ghibli movies, but I love them anyway.

I live in a small town and we don't get any "select theater movies" so I have to go out of town to see them if I want to see them in theater's. (Aka, if I want to see anime on the big screen I have to go an hour away to my neighboring town) so I ended up missing Ponyo in theater's due to the fact I couldn't get a ride out of town. (The other Ghibli movies have been long out on video by the time I found out what they were.) However when "The Secret Life of Arietty" was in theater's on the day after it was released in the states my Dad had a football meeting, In the neighboring town! And the meeting was just right after the movie started so I got to see my first (and now only ) Studio Ghibli movie in theater's. And it was nothing less than magical. Thanks for the memories Mr. Miyazaki and Mr. Takahata, and all the hard working people of Studio Ghibli!
