I'm stumped that they don't show the Ferrari 348 tb ; by far my favorite aesthetically from the "sports cars"; that lamborghini countach sold for $850 USD not too long ago new in box; I'd love to find that Nissan Pick Up truck new in box, maybe one day!

Agree 100%. I think I have another catalog with the 348, need to upload a video :) And yes, finding the Racing Pickup actually in a box? Impossible! haha... even getting a PHOTO of one in a box was challenging. Thanks for watching, and take care.

The actual cars were relatively cheap. I wanna say the Hoppers and Bandit were right about $50-$60. It was the batteries and charger that got ya. I'd forgotten the Outlaw! The Bandit was always my favorite but the Fastraxx was most capable in grass or dirt. I used to spend every penny i could earn and save on these cars and batteries. The worst part was i didn't know how to get parts if it was possible. Once it broke you had to buy another whole vehicle. There's no telling how many of them i had over the years.

So true! You had to buy the car, and the battery pack and charger separately, got expensive quick. I have a few new Fast Traxx that I don't drive, so recently bought a used one I can bash around with my son, I'm sure he's going to love it :)

I still have my 962 in box I didn't realise it was worth money
@CheapCheerful2 жыл бұрын
Oh definitely. Depends on what version and condition, but a few weeks ago a Taiyo Porsche 962 in good condition with box went for $159USD plus shipping on eBay. It's a real beauty the 962, I need one for my collection so if you list it on eBay be sure to add the link here :)

Taiyo and Nikko were the best and btw back in the 90’s i and my brother owned both the Ferrari and Lamborghini with 31 km/h stickers on the box it was legit

Edit: I have since warmed up to the Mutator 9.6V and Vertigo, and formally confirm they have been removed from the crap list! Not the Tantrum though, it still makes the bbyjezuz cry.

Hello there! Just today my mother found an rc car of mine , something like 30 years old. Its a Taiyo bmw z1. But she only found the car without the transmitter. I have a multi protocol transmitter that i use for my quadcopters. Does anyone know what protocol those cars used to use back then? I would appreciate any tips. It would be awesome is I managed to drive that car that made me happy 30 years ago❤
@CheapCheerful4 ай бұрын
Hello. They used analogue signals (27mhz, 40mhz, 49mhz), so won't work with the multi protocol which is usually 2.4ghz digital sadly. You'd need to pickup a transmitter from Taiyo of the same era from a similar car and frequency, sadly. Z1 is nice though :)
@bozosni4 ай бұрын
@@CheapCheerful Yeah, that's what i thought. Thank you for the information! You believe that if i buy a modern 27Mhz transmitter will not bind? Maybe different protocols?
