That plot twist actually makes a lot of sense. If Naruto really went evil he could easily bring Sasuke on his side after Itachi's death and Gaara siding with him also would make a lot of sense. Imagine an evil team with Naruto, Sasuke and Gaara (and potentially some other badass people) who go havoc :D Would be interesting to see how Obito tries to use them for his plans but fails in the end. Hard to say what objective Naruto's team would have after destroying the big villages. Making a new village for outcasts and protecting them similar to how Akatsuki was in the beginning could be intersting. Btw, I initially thought that even if Naruto went rogue, he'd still end up returning, due meeting his parents. But tbh, that's not necessarily true. At least his mother would've very likely supported his decision, considering that she beat all her bullies to a pulp in the past lol. His father would've probably tried to persuade him to forgive the village, but in the end might have given up after hearing Naruto's thoughts and instead would apologize for letting him shoulder such a burden.

Anyway, since gaara only turned good because naruto used talk no jutsu on him which only works because naruto understood gaara more than anyone, so gaara tried to be good since he saw that naruto could do it. However since this is evil naruto, gaara would definitely still be evil cause there's no way sasuke could talk no jutsu gaara when he can't understood him lol. Gaara and naruto basically almost became the same character here with naruto probably being more talkative than gaara.

Naruto may be justified but he has no reason to do it, at the end of part 1 he has people that love and accept him who are Iruka, Jiraiya, Tsunade, Gaara and Ramen Guy. Jiraiya became like a secondary father to him, Tsunade acknowledged Naruto and gave him her precious necklace and Ramen Guy always fed him. Remember this evil version of Naruto happens when he fights Sasuke in part 1 which means he already has people that love and accept him, for fucks sake the first episode of the series Iruka says that Naruto isn’t a monster but is a shinobi of the hidden leaf. The only way Naruto could become evil if he had nobody. Naruto would still be a hypocrite since in the context of the video, he becomes evil when he fights Sasuke. That means he still says whole speech to Gaara about knowing how he feels and even says he now has people that he loves and he will do whatever he can to protect him. The ninja way he learned from Zabuza and the promise to Sakura? he would betraying all of these and thus makes him a pathetic hypocrite that can’t keep promises. Instead of rising above hatred and accepting the people he loves, he just becomes a discount Sasuke. Naruto may have hated the villagers but what makes him a hypocrite is him telling Gaara to let go his hatred, betraying his ninja way and intentionally breaking Sakura’s promise. To me that’s what make him a hypocrite if he became evil.

I can't believe how incredible this series has been so far, amazing animation, perfect script for the characters remaining true to the original series given the circumstances, and awesome music (even though I'm sure he couldn't get away with using original themes from copyright.) I am so excited to see where this goes and the addition of Gaara makes me wonder if any other jinchuuriki will join or what other fights might be next? More Akatsuki or other side characters like Team Asuma, Kurenai, or Gai? With how powerful Naruto has become, there's very few characters that could actually stop him. I'm so hyped to see if there's going to be another Shinobi world war and Madara/Obito get more involved!

I didn't know that I wanted an official series of what if naruto went evil until watching this mini series so far, obviously that won't ever happen so I'm happy to see that this series exist to do the job ^^ Would for sure be one of the more interesting Villian anime series to exist if it followed this direction. Would just be really interesting to see him bond with kurama by going evil as well I guess and Kurama being his only friend for a long while until he starts recruiting Gara and seeing an oppotunity to try and recruit sasuke, however I feel like it would be more likely that Obito would try and gain sasuke to join his side by personally giving him the information about Itatchi & upgrading his eyes. But it backfires because Sasuke doesn't wish to kill Naruto & instead joins up with him after learning the truth of Itatchi, I feel like the most likely scenario would be that sakura would follow sasuke going to naruto's side as well.

Isn't it so weird that in canon the entire Uchiha clan was hated and killed on suspicion for wanting to overthrow the Hokage and siccing the Kyuubi on the village, but no one batted an eye that Sasuke and Naruto were in the same team? Like, why was Itachi even treated as a war criminal if the village blamed the Uchihas for the Kyuubi attack and the clan allegedly didn't do anything to help the rest of the village?

Woahhh this is really crazy. Because now Sauske has to question if he should leave the village and he really has all the reason to do so right now. And what's even better is that Killer B definitely wont agree with Naruto so a 9 tails vs 8 tails would be insane. One more thing to worry about is that during Naruto and Sauske's last fight, in the original anime, Naruto was holding back so that he wouldn't kill Sauske, but now Naruto would have all the more reason to kill him. TLDR: I love this series so far, keep it up!

I don't know ... the fact that this Naruto proposed Sasuke to join his group may be proof that despite his words, he really doesn't want to kill Sasuke, while canon Sasuke nevers tried to make canon Naruto join him despite knowing that Naruto suffered as much as him from the leaf. Also this Naruto probably still craves some companionship for having been deprived of family and friendly bonds from his birth, while Sasuke became a solitary person because he suffered from the loss of bonds during his childhood.

The funny thing is that when Sasuke went rouge he had some things that eventually bounced him off the bad side and aside from Itachi case nothing made his evillness bigger. With Naruto going rouge there is literally nothing that would change him. Big evil fox living within him, Akatsuki making sure he stay evil, Gara and Shkukaku. Meeting his parents would only further his anger at this point for sealing the biggest evil within himself. I guess the best Kakashi can do is making sure Naruto will be well aware that Akatsuki gonna extract Kurama from him so he can destroy them and later on they can worry about Naruto himself.

@@freespeech3817 the Hokage let Danzo spread the news that Naruto had the Kyuubi, didn't tell Naruto his parentage even though the Fourth specifically requested that Naruto learn, kept Naruto with the name of Uzumaki even though the Uzumaki clan was eradicated for having overpowered chakra jutsu, didn't even assign him a bodyguard like Konohamaru had Ebisu as a personal tutor, and over all the Third acted more ashamed of Naruto than anything - secretly giving him allowances and letting him live in a forest, fending for himself when he was 6. The Third was ruler when the Uzumaki clan and Uzushiogakure was destroyed and made 0 effort to protect them. The Uzumaki clan just existed as Jinchuuriki holders and wives of a Hokage (Mito, Kushina).
