I had the very rare chance to demo an Ibis Ripley as a "young youtuber" and made sure I got the most out of the experience! I was hesitant about a "short travel" bike, but it blew me away! My Father and I were very happy with the experience and also how the bike rode! It was incredibly snappy and efficient at climbing! I was also very impressed with the way the Ibis Ripley handled the jumps, I tackled new jumps with pure confidence arguably better then the Ripmo due to the weight difference! I did the best job I could comparing the two bikes and am very happy with both and agree that they both serve a unique purpose and do their individual job very well! Thank you again Fullerton Bikes for the Demo!!!!!

Yea that was cool seeing some night riding. I can't say I would go trail riding in the dark. Maybe if I know the trail like the back of my hand I might but yea definitely looked cool.

Having a hard time deciding between the 2023 Ripmo v2s or the 2023 Ripley v4s... this will be my first full suspension mountain bike (i've always ridden hardtails, I'll be coming off a 2021 Salsa Timberjack w/ a 130mm front fork). I mainly ride undulating flow trails with chunky tree roots in Alaska, but do a big big trip every year towards the moab/colorado/northwest area. The big factor is I broke my back and neck 3 years ago whitewater kayaking, so I'm looking to soften the hard ride of the softtail up. I would love to have a lighter bike like the Ripley, but the extra cush of the Ripmo would probably feel better on my back. Any suggestions?

After riding both I distinctly remember how effective the Ripley was at climbing and I really appreciated the bike for that but like you mentioned the cushion of the Ripmo is so awesome even for long days on the bike, I usually lock my rear suspension on the climbs and even when I forget to open the valve for the downhill It still handles all I put it through and I’m very comfortable on the bike for hours. I was also slightly worried on the Ripley that I might bottom out the suspension and damage something but with the Ripmo I haven’t ever worried about that. The Ripmo will eat up those chunky tree roots you were mentioning! My other small complaint on the Ripmo is that the frame limits the water bottle sizes to pretty small. Hope this helps!

In my opinion, I would love to have the Ripley as a second bike since I already own the Ripmo…however if I had to buy a bike to start to learn how to mountain bike on in the past I would start with a Ripley and eventually upgrade to a Ripmo if you plan on hitting the bigger enduro jumps and rocks

@@senditwithspence2462That’s what I did, Ripley as a first bike. The trails I ride with my friends at my skill level have them leaving their enduro bikes at home. For the trails a block for my house it’s more than capable enough. Someday maybe I’ll get a sb140 or ripmo but don’t see a reason to own a bike like that until my riding can match bike capability.
