*method on how to unlock without watching an ad* : 1. Turn on airplanes mode for a *at least 10 seconds* (don’t rush) 2. Turn it back on and wait for *2-4 or 10 seconds* 3. Click the orange unlock button. If it said connection error, redo it until you get it. It should say “Not available” and has a button said “Use for Free” *note* : note that if you leave the Canva or change the Canva, you will have to redo it.

You can also turn off ad personalization in your phone's settings (or through Google ads center), after I did that I stopped getting ads for the brushes and I get the same results. I originally did it since I didn't want companies to cram in ads and interfere with my viewing experience.

The most recent modded versions (from 12.2.0 and above) are ADDING some restrictions like: - Can't SAVE IMAGES (seriously) - Can't export or import brushes (💀) So if you want to save images use the normal version with ads and no premium or PAYING PREMIUM🧍‍♂️

It just appeared an error, then checked the reviews from the mod and oh god a lot of people complaining about that error... 😭 Edit: The latest modded version (12.2.4) is kinda fixed but with bugs. So you can now save images 🙏

I mean- putting it down to 4 hours may seem small, but it kind of proves that they're not above taking away free features, and being an "drawing app full of free features" was Ibispaint's biggest selling point. I'm an artist who draws on her laptop so when I first saw ibispaint had the 1 hour timer on the PC version I got so sad, but for the last 2 years I've been using a hack so the timer would reset meaning I could draw for an infinite amount of time for the day. But in the recent update they patched the hack 😭 that's why I've switched to krita now. Fk ibispaint bro.. Krita has been amazing so far for me tho if you're a PC user and want something free and amazing I'd definitely recommend

I actually found this app in 2018, it was my first entry into doing art digitally and I loved it. If I remember correctly, I thought brushes were even open longer for 24 hours, memory may be wrong, but it was way longer than that. It was honestly due to the ads that made me fall out of love with the software id honestly rather prefer firealpaca, sai or krita than ibis. I'm using firealpaca now and its programs like that that shows what an art software should be no ads to get brushes or ads in the way just the ability to draw without interruption. This honestly pees me off cause it was such a good app and not everyone can get those software's due to not having a computer or drawing tablet. Sorry for the rant, it just makes me extremely mad qmq....

I'm personally indifferent to this because I only use one brush, Digital Brush, which is free, but I can imagine for less neat-freakish people who actually use more than 1 brush in every one of their drawings, this is actually a problem. Haven't tried it in a while but if you're drawing in one big session, you could go into a low service area or use airplane mode, I know Ibis used to let you use every brush until you left the drawing you were working on if your internet connection was weak or nonexistent. Anyway, when I start making money, I had plans to get Pro for mobile and buy the full version on PC anyway, I still will. Relatively cheap for the one-time on PC and annual subscription for mobile, but I still feel for free users. You all are getting beaten up by subscriptions for stuff like Capcut and now this 😭

Thank god I switched from Procreate since last year. I recently just went back to use Ibis, since my favorite brushes is there (I miss using those brushes) and I am absolutely clueless how to replicate them to Procreate.

Just my opinion but even though the time decreased, I’m grateful the app is free (even tho there’s membership and not free stuff), I’m fine with watching adds more often because idk I feel like IbisPaint deserves it. The app has big update from years ago and still continue to this day. I can still make some god masterpiece without using the premium stuff too. Time decrease? It’s fine for me

I’m in the same boat. Admittedly, I do now pay for no adds since the price compared to other apps really isn’t that bad and I’m able to afford it. Maybe it’s because I’m older then many other people that use it, but I just don’t see the problem I guess 🤷‍♀️ They gotta make money somehow :/

i have this tactic that i open with wifi on and then i turn it off before entering a canvas and then instead of watching an add i get to use all the brushes as long as i dont leave the canvas

I don’t think it’s that bad I’m just still grateful that we can still even watch an add for free brushes but I’m afraid that they will continue making the amount of time you get brushes for free lower and lower and eventually you will have to pay. I used Ibis when it was 18 hours, why decrease it all the way to 4? Thats a pretty big jump. Must suck for plenty of artists. Looks like we might evantually have to cough up 15 dollars for Ibis Prime. Hopefully the price doesn't randomly jump into something much higher.

yeah i noticed :,/ tho one little trick- if- after you watch the ad, you turn off your wifi/put it on airplane mode then open the app again, it can't give more ads when closing/opening things, so you only need to watch one- now every 4 hours :/

I didn’t know about the AI thing but this is exaggerated. All those many incredible features are free, all brushes are free with just watching an ad, it’s not like some brushes are behind a paywall or like there are ads displaying when you’re drawing lmao In my opinion ibis is one of the best apps for drawing, and it’s fcking free, the creators have to get money of it somehow, there are MANY people who won’t pay for ibis premium so the ads are necessary, and they’re not that annoying

@@slight5989 but ms paint is fun 🥺 i honestly think its better for people who cant afford other apps. it definitely doesnt have much to offer though theres also online versions of it, but its only the old version of ms paint. i use that, since im a mac user yes they are different and this comment was mostly a joke i personally just prefer ms paint because its very fun and simple, and the cruddy pixel style is appealing
