There is a reason most sports are timed events. You cant just stay there all day. Do you propose Chess to be checkmate only? Or No time limit? Chess players can win on time just like BJJ grapplers can get ahead and wait it out. I know it deviates from the fight aspect of the sport. But if the rules dont enforce submission hunting then the grapplers aint obligated to go after each others arms, necks and legs. I detest point fighting as much as the next guy. I hate watching Lo, Galvao and the rest of the tactical fighters with low submission rate. I also hate to lose on points. I managed to lose in tournaments to the same guy in white and blue belt the same way. Fcked up early, he swept me and he stalled me out for the rest of the match. I hated that but i respect the strategy. He never tried to tap me in any way. Just sweep and wait.
