Just superior skills by Gordon. Both were juiced up with everything you can imagine. In the end, only skills count and GR is just the most technical grappler maybe ever. Marcelo was a finisher, Roger was all about top pressure but GR has it all. Top, Bottom, leglock game wich none of the previous had and his submission rate is near 90% of fights. Insane.

What’s amazing is thinking about how dominant Andre was in his matches in almost his entire ADCC career and just how much Gordon slowed him down and absolutely dominated him. Gordon had a plan for every move Andre could’ve made. Most people will NEVER come close to ever mastering(even experts) any skill the way Gordon has mastered jits

But he is still more than 10 yrs younger, and that plays a big factor. You probably still are a young person and maybe you compete, but I have been training in this sport since I was 10 yrs old, (over 25 years of practice and 15 as a black belt). When you hit a certain age you don't feel, move or recover at the same rate no matter how good your personal chemist is and ESPECIALLY after abusing these substances for decades. 20 years from now you will understand.

He was more physical in 2022 than any match he's ever had besides 2019 adcc. 2022 was the 2nd best Andre we have ever seen. What are you talking about llol
