Morocco was his homeland but he, "travelled to every civilized portion of the known non-Western world. From Morocco to China, from Russia to Mali, from Spain to Sumatra, he covered a staggering amount of ground: some 75,000 miles or 120,000 kilometres, Not only was he an explorer and diplomat, he became a lawyer and a learned scholar too.

Abu Dardaa said that the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam - peace be upon him) said: “Those people endowed with knowledge are the inheritors of the prophets.”[Hadith Hassan, Abu Dawood, ibn Majah, At-Tirmidhi, ibn Habaan]. He (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) also said:“Whosoever Allah wishes good for, He bestows upon him understanding of the Deen.” [Bukhari and Muslim). He bestows upon him an understanding of Deen means that He will allow him to be taught the Qur’an and the Sunnah.

Ibn Battuta was a 14th-century Moroccan traveler and scholar. He is known for his extensive travels throughout much of the Islamic world and beyond, which he chronicled in his famous travelogue, "The Rihla." Over the course of his lifetime, Ibn Battuta journeyed through North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, India, Southeast Asia, and China, among other places. His works are an important source for historians seeking to understand life and culture in these regions during the medieval era. May Allah 🥺 mercy on him Ameen

Great video. I knew Ibn Battuta when I visited Egypt. But it is from this video where I really learn something about his journey. It is so encouraging. Hope I can be an explorer like him.

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: سبحان الله وبحمده، سبحان الله العظيم "Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allah-il-Azim" (Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection) [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A servant committed a sin and he said: O Allah, forgive my sin! Allah Almighty said: My servant has committed a sin and he knows that he has a Lord who forgives sins and holds him accountable. Then, the servant returned to his sin and he said: O Allah, forgive my sin! Allah said: My servant has committed a sin and he knows that he has a Lord who forgives sins and holds him accountable. Then, the servant returned to his sin and he said: O Allah, forgive my sin! Allah said: My servant has committed a sin and he knows that he has a Lord who forgives sins and holds him accountable, so do what you wish as I have forgiven you.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 7507, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2758
