Narrated by the two of them (Al-Bukhaari and Muslim), 'Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "I shall be there at the Cistern before you, and I shall have to contend for some people, but I shall have to yield. I would be saying: 'My Lord, they are my friends, they are my friends.' And it would be said: 'You do not know what innovations they introduced after you.'

@@unk8nown125 imitating on wrong things is prohibited not the good things.. or such act which they are doing for their own diety .. as specifically which make them unique among others.. But in general if someone follow good deed and other practices which is not unique for some other religious belief then it is definitely allowed n permissible.. I can quote multiple actions n practices which prophet copied from others .. sahaba and ayimma of islam copied.. One example you celebrate independence day .. or national day this is clear imitation of non muslims .. but you hv no issue but for mawlid you hv this lame argument.. why..?? It's called bugz e Mustafa..

@@muzix123 Were the sahaba and the taabieen familiar with this ‘mawlid’ tradition or did it come centuries later This is a bidah in the religion, the prophet didn’t reveal anything of this in his sunnah or to his companions and it isn’t talked about in the Quran so therefore it is a bidah and a new innovation May Allah guide us to be better and to follow the teachings of the Quran, Prophet and the salaf
