Very similar to how I set up my camp. One thing I add is mouse traps which helps slow down the mouse issues. A front vestibule helps keep stuff out of the sun and a place to strip off wet jackets before entering the tent. I would not drink straight out of any water source without a filter. I don't want my trip ruined by drinking a "bug". Glad your spending time with your entire family.

Excellent organization! For first time campers and hunters I HIGHLY discourage drinking out of ANY creeks, rivers, etc. if you choose to do so, there are things you can buy to make the water safer amply boiling the water. I personally know of 2 hunters that became very sick and had to be taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. The guide told the it was safe to drink the creek water. It’s not just cattle or other people that can make water bad.

Go to Wally World and buy a roll of the rubber shelf matting used to keep glasses and dishes from sliding around in your cupboards, roll it out on the table, take it up when done, you can wash spills off of it by sticking it in a sink and it is light weight and no need to glue it down.

Clay, nice setup. I noticed in your video that Liz was cooking inside the tent. Wouldn't the tent wall get splattered from grease and food splatters from cooking inside and start to smell? We have an outfitters tent and we find that if you cook inside, the tent will start to smell bad. We try to cook outdoors in a sheltered area.

Hi Clay! I know you are one busy dude. But I have a guestion for you. I have been shooting for couple years now. And I think it would be a time for an upgrade. Just getting my hunting license and ready to go for my first real hunts bymyself. I want something that I know for 100% sure is going to be me, who is going to be the bad shot. Not the bow. I have watched alot of your videos the past couple years and even commented on some of them. So I know you are a straight up guy! Do you have any recommendations for a good quality bow? All tuned and set up. Fred Bears bows still good? They sometimes run in the -30% marks, so you can get their top of the line bows for 500€, here in europe. At somepoint you had some of your bows for sale, but they are a bit out from my price range. Edit. Then on the other note. What would be the best of the best? If I want to go all in for a hunting bow? Still love all of your hard work! Cheers from Finland!
@clayhayeshunter3 жыл бұрын
There are so many options I couldn’t say what’s the best for you. You will have to tune the bow and arrows to yourself though. Give 3Rivers a call. They can help you with the right selection.
