I noticed that Tainted ???’s abilities start getting REALLY fucky if you use a large amount of Poops in a single room. Brown creep starts deleting itself or lagging significantly, sounds stop playing, explosion visuals only last a frame, etc

This thing is the most malicious item added in the game since Cursed Eye in Rebirth and Curse of the Tower in Afterbirth, and surpasses both of them _combined._ You know of the Trisagion and Ipecac synergy, we all do. Now imagine that, but it's happening at random, and you can barely control it. Slap some occasional Explosive Diarrhea to the mix and you have one of the worst items... in the game, not even Repentance. 1/10. Ruins good runs. Would have been more forgivable if it was an active item.

I'm honestly curious... This item in many situations is bad to take, so what's the point of unlocking this or any other item that would clog up the pools of items, lowering your chance of getting better items? If you unlock this item you've essentially just unlocked a slightly less dangerous Bob's Brain. The "trail" effect is also rather useless. Not only does IBS activate randomly, but when would you have the time to activate it, get the trail, then another poop that synergises with, and then you have the time to throw it down on the trail AND stay on the trail to get the effect? Basically only useful in bossfights, and even then boss fights mean you have to move around a lot.

unironically i think ibs is one of the worst items in the game if you have a good firerate it just kinda makes it impossible to play, since youll be constantly generating poops, which often ends up making you fart and pull out a fire poop blowing yourself up, or throwing a random bomb or getting explosive diarrhoea ive not once had a run where i picked it up and my run didnt immediately become horrible

With IBS, poops are given when Isaac deals damage to enemies. It's kinda random. Tainted ??? does not start with IBS. He has his own mechanic that is more deterministic in choosing when to use the poops.
