You missed the most important part of the summoner focus: you can level units with Astral Echoes, which is really powerful because they reworked the scaling on units across the tiers, much more HP, and you can also use it to force evolve units that do that.

I was actually absolutely sure I said in this video you can level up magic origin units with echoes as summoner. But I explained stuff over so many videos the last days I really cannot remember where or if I really missed sth there. You are obviously right about these things! =)

@@Ic0nGaming sorry you did mentioned it briefly, I missed it because you didn’t open the menu to demonstrate it-but you covered it very in-depth in your build videos so no worries! I just wanted to flag it for anyone who came. Sorry if my comment came off rude, it wasn’t my intention. Also: if you want to supercharge your research rate: there’s an Imperium Node called “Philosopher Soldiers” which gives you an injection of knowledge every time a unit levels up, and since you can spend echoes to level multiple times in one turn…well you can slingshot your research rate to the moon-so fast that you can’t capitalize on all the unlocks at once.

didnt realize this update was coming out today, i rarely play mystic so I was going to go for a full mystic summon build.... then this got released.... hell yeah

The Summoner's Astral Bond ability can also be put on the Eldritch Sovereign, and the Astral Ward summon can also be healed, so it can be just a free repeating damage soak Eldritch Sovereign with Summon School is pretty fun

Yeah, these culture overhauls will hopefully get applied to all of the oldschool cultures over time. I really love what they did for the Mystics. Sadly this also leads to sort of a powercreep, as the Mystics now feel WAY stronger than other cultures.
