IC7300 Configuration for Data Modes (WSJTX, JS8CALL, FLDIGI etc)

A response to continued questions on the online groups regarding configuration of IC7300 for data modes.
I forgot to mention that it's also important to ensure the correct sound device is configured for both audio input and output in the software (for example WSJTX) or operating system (if software lacks these options).
Some operating systems (for example Windows) also require specific ICOM drivers, which I believe should ideally be installed before connecting the radio.

Yes. concise and clear. I had to be alert to the CI-V setting on page 1, USB serial function and ensure it was set to USB and not RTTY. After that adjustment the rig and the laptop instantly were on the same page..

Thank you . Setting up my 7300 for digital is easy but still a process. I had early success on ft8 but have had challenges on other platforms . This video helps me work through the correct selection with out me being overwhelmed.

My issue is when wsjtx transmits I get no power output on from my radio. I am lost at this point.

Are you definitely in USB-D mode? In standard USB mode the PTT will function but you'll see zero power out.
