Glad to see you are back making videos. You have a lot of knowledge. Thank you for sharing. I need to look into Renner and ICA since I am not happy with the product I've been using. I have only a HVLP turbine and want to move up to air assisted airless but just don't have the money to make the jump.

@@carlnolte1637 what are you currently using?

@@homesteadcabinetdesign3406 I've been using Target Coatings. Never had a problem but they changed to a thicker formula and it is hard to spray with my equipment. I was going to give SW Gallery a try but I want a single supplier for clear and pigmented.

Anest iwata has the best nozzle technology with their patented v-slot nozzles creating “engineered atomization” you really need to try them and compare it to the flat tips. They have so many different kinds!

@@bingobunga8995 do they work in a needle nozzle gun? Or AAA?
@bingobunga89952 ай бұрын
They have several different v-slot tips 3, 4, 6, and 8 slot tips to compare they aren’t all interchangeable as certain iwata gun models have different threads for the head but I have found the wider 2 will fit the ws400 supernova tips with the 4 v-slot tips and air cap either the ws400-01 cap or the w4-j2 cap from the wider4. I like the other guns iwata offers only issue is they are mostly gravity fed and I only use the pressure feed system and prefer the cup on the bottom of the gun but the side feed guns can be configured either way. Right now I’m trying different tips from their other gun models to see if they are compatible since iwata doesn’t have a compatibility chart and refuses to admit that some of their tips are interchangeable bc they want the customer to purchase the more expensive gun that comes with the tip set. So far it appears to me that the ls400 and the ws400 are identical and will fit the wider series of guns. But I like the split nozzle tech bc it breaks up the material even finer and saves on material for a better finish. And I always have my air caps at 29psi 2 bar even if they say max is 15-16psi bc they only say that to get around emissions compliance regulations even CA Tech lcfm orange cap performs better around 2 bar. Edit this is for hvlp style guns only. Flat tip was misleading but if you investigate iwata v slot nozzles you’ll understand why I call conventional hvlp nozzle flat tips

@@bingobunga8995 I'm curious where you buy these? Is that the same as a their split nozzle?
@bingobunga89952 ай бұрын
@@homesteadcabinetdesign3406 yes v-slot, split tip, tulip tip is all the same thing from iwata. The WS400 is a 4 slot design, the ws200 sp is a 6 slot design, etc different models have different numbers of slots cut in the tip. There are a few places to purchase them but I usually get it from eBay. I find the best prices are there as those tips and air caps are very expensive. I have tried the ws400 1.4mm with the 4l-2j cap and it works extremely well and I probably will use that for my topcoats for higher end projects and just use the cpr green complaint air cap and 1.4 from CA Tech for millwork. Iwata makes a great gun very high quality material and very easy to clean.

Good to see you back making videos! Hey question you still using the rolair with the aaa setup? Or did you switch to a cat compressor? I’m looking at getting a portable for my Xcite gun. But I need it to keep up and be quiet which they don’t use a lot of air. Out of your small 2ish hp compressors which you like the best? Money isn’t an issue on those little workhorses. , just overall thoughts . Thanks for any help!

@@Addicted2Fun my Rolair gave out. I bought a 2 HP California Air brand. They are ultra quiet. The Rolair was good as well. Not quite as heavy as the California Air.
