Thank You! This is the only video I found that explains the File - "New Calendar Subscription" to be able to assign the Google calendar to your iCloud account "Location". If you go through Preferences - Add Account, it will create a separate Google calendar section on iCal that will not be shared with all of your devices using iCloud. This is the correct method to get it to sync across all your iCloud devices. NOTE - The location may not say "iCloud" but your iCloud "email" connected to your iCloud account. Great video, straight forward and easy to follow.

Hi George, Great video, very clear and easy to follow. A few comments from my own experience: A person may want to leave the calendar update to “Every week” for calendars that really don’t change mucj. For example, the Catholic church has a “liturgical year” that is set for the entire year, years in advance. I imagine that there are other calendar sets, for example, other religions or even national holidays that refreshing ebem once a week is probably overkill. Phone data plans or other computing resources can be saved making the interval as short as necessary, but not shorter. Also, I use a Synology NAS for most all of my personal data, and have configured my Apple products to keep all data off of Apple servers (iCloud). My NAS is up all the time, and I don’t even notice a difference. So that is a case when it might be preferable for a user to change the setting from iCloud. Again, I appreciate how clear and succint your explanation is, and am going to browse your videos to see if you have other Apple themed subjects, or other areas I’m and will subscribe and follow if so. Keep up the good fight against ignorance !

Ok, so there is a downside to this method. You will only be able to see events, you will not be able to add or edit events through iCal. That will have to be done in Google Calendar. Ugh!! Unless I'm missing something George? This method would only be good for sharing with someone that you share your iCloud account calendar but not so good for your own devices?
