This will be a good subject to cover. The game is getting slower and slower. Drinks intervals are longer and additional drinks, gloves, bats constantly being brought on. Fielders going on and off. Bowling changes take forever. Also video replays of boundary fielding, run outs and stumpings take much too long. Batsmen often have long preparation routines and hold bowlers up too. Maybe punishments need to be harsher and not limited to the fielding team though they should have the majority of the fines.

Substitution is more necessary in T20 and ODI then tests ... Especially for bowlers.. Because there is restrictions in the no. of overs a bowler can Bowl. In T20 and ODI, Any 11 out of 13 would have been a good idea... (Batting, bowling) Just like practice matches before wc2019. For Tests, the ICC rule seems to be fine...

It's a tricky scenario and it is left to the match referee to make a decision. If you take an example of Hardik Pandya, India depends more on his bowling than batting. Maybe a bowler could be allowed in this case

Thanks for the information however this may cause lot of problems suppose when an batsman gets tired or to bring a aggressive batsman instead of him he can pretend to be as injured to bring a fresh batsman which will spoil the spirit of the game according to me a substitute fielder should not be allowed as we have seen in WC 2019 jadeja took brilliant catches as substitute fielder. Just imagine whether Russel field as substitute instead of Chris Gayle which would have make a huge different so substitution is not suitable in cricket. Once ICC introduced super sub format which was utterly failed and ICC recalled that format hopefully the same should have happen to this system

Dear @Ganesh Kumar.k, please note that this substitute is only for 'concussion' and not for any other injury. More importantly, this concussion needs to happen in the field of play during the match(for ex: Batsman hit on the head by the ball, fielders collision, etc.). Even after this incident, a concussion should be confirmed by the medical officer present there. Even after this confirmation, a match referee has the power to reject the substitute. It is not easy for any team to exploit this rule.

But what if someone like Joe root got injured- he is a specialist batsman but does bowl so could England replace him with a bowler? Also, what if a player who everyone knows is a specialist bowler is playing, and gets a concussion before he has bowled- could they replace him with a batsman as the bowler hasn't bowled?

No, replacement for Joe root can't be a specialist bowler. He is a part time bowler and his team doesn't depend on him for his bowling. If Moeen Ali gets injured then maybe another spinner can be allowed but not in the case of Joe root.

They wanted to implement this from the ashes series so that the rule can be applied throughout the test championship. It will be clear when they update the playing condition document.

please consider this scenario and give me an answer: If a specialiat bowler who bats mostly at no.11 gets concussed and there are no specialist bowlers in the squad but there is an all-rounder like ben stokes who is good at both traits.....will that specialist bowler be allowed to get substituted for that all-rounder? if so allowed then , could that all-rounder bat and bowl?

Hey can you make video on how the batting stance has change so dramatically, the difference between gavaskar era batsman and kohli era batsman is drastic. Gavaskar era batsman (including tendulkar, Viv Richards) they stooped too low and did not bent their knees that much. Whereas today's batman have bent knees and straight back. The older stance seems very unatural, unstable and uncomfortable. Even though players of that time did good batting.i

ICC has not released the entire guidelines regarding this matter. The match referee will be trained to handle this situation, and he will have the final say in this matter. According to our understanding, if a batsman has batted already before getting injured, then the substitute will not be allowed to bat in that innings. He will be allowed to bat in the next innings.

It's a wide if the ball is above the batsmen's head (T20 & ODI) or if the umpire thinks it's too high for the batsmen (test). If the ball is a full toss and it is over the batsmen's waist when it reaches them then it's a no-ball.
