bcci is disgusting. they just do their own thing and if they don't get their way they cry and say they will withdraw and countries will lose millions as so many Indians go to test matches. even in the latest border Gavaskar trophy, in a practice match, some players were found to be ball tampering against Australia a. they were about to be fined/banned and then bcci said India will withdraw and Australia wont play the test matches against India. and that will lose Australia a lot of money as a lot of Indians go to the test matches.

Very well explained . I have 2 doubts. Normal allowance Is 15 degree. This is with respect to a horizontal line . Now let us say a person has a hyperextention of say - 10 degrees that is 10 degrees in opposite direction. So this person is allowed 15 degrees from the horizontal line or 15 degrees from where he started? In first case he would bend 25 degrees actually. Second question...is a test required to ascertain if a person has hyperextension or can it be detected by naked eye.

I believe that pitchers in baseball who throw the ball can generate greater speeds if the take a tun up and hit the deck hard. On a bouncy surface they can become a health hazard. Hence the reason why throwing or chucking was disallowed in cricket. But how is it a danger with a spinner? What advantage does it give a spinner? Rules are created to have an even playing field. It is to avoid giving someone an unfair advantage or to ensure danger is limited. This rule should only be applied to fast bowlers but only after it is proven.

Please can you explain leg side wides further? Law 22.1.1 clearly states “where the striker is standing or has stood at any point after the ball came into play”. According to law 20.5, the ball comes into play when the bowler starts their run up (or bowling action if there’s no run up). So when a striker shuffles towards the off stump towards the very end of the bowler’s run up (like Kohli and many others), shouldn’t the leg side wide mark be based on where the striker was standing as the bowler was starting the run up?
