Hi Terri, on the "notes" under R40.20, I thought you previously stated "underlying coma cause not known or coma scale not documented"?

Yes, that is correct. The Notes section should have included "due to trauma but cause not known"

Hi Terri! Recently certified as COC & recently found you, wish I had last year! Appreciate so much you sharing your invaluable knowledge! On Practice #2 shouldn't the "motor" be coded R40.2313, also on practice #3, should "ambulance eyes" be R40.2111 & "motor" R40.2311...emergency department "eyes" R40.2112? I may just be confused! Thank you!

Hi Terry. Do you have a book on cpt guidelines as well or they are all included in the ic10 coding guidelines book?

I have books on. ICD-10-CM and PCS as well as E/M coding. I don't have more on other areas of CPT. The royalties that I would have to pay to AMA are prohibitive.
