Ecco Rider makes a Velomobile shell design called the Challenger that’s fully enclosed with a manual windshield wiper, that’s design to fit over the ICE recumbent trike design. Thank you for showing us what ICE has to offer in the electric assist department.

Thanks for posting this; I live in Las Vegas and I am having a local shop do the e- assist. You guys did a brilliant job on this, and I plan on doing a very similar set up on my ICE Sprint 26.

Good video. I have a 24 speed Terra Trike Rambler with a Magic Pie electric wheel. I have a thumb throttle that can be used with my thumb. I also have a speed set control which is like a cruise control. I really like this ICE Adventure set up. The advantage it has is it is easier to pedal with the motor turned off. I have a second battery so I have a range of 40 miles. Since I constantly pedal with the motor I am done riding after 40 miles.

Moosey - the Bafang is its own crank integrated unit, so it replaces anything else on the front end.

I found this interesting and instructive. My own conversion on my 2008 ICE T did not go so smoothly. I had originally set up a Ezee rear wheel conversion, it worked well but I decided to go crank drive instead, off came the Ezee setup. Everything went well with the 8Fun apart from the positioning of the LCD and the speed sensor. I overcame the LCD positioning by cutting up a pair of Bike Friday split handlebars to make a T bar and cut a left hand Shimano shifter for the clamp, (Terra Cycles are not here in the UK and importing a T bar from America was quite costly with Customs and shipping.) It works well. I have had to order extension for the speed sensor as with the positioning of the speed sensor on the right front wheel does not work on the 2008 model so it has to go on the chainstay. I look forward to my first outing. I have already popped an 8 Fun on a Dahon with the 360 NuVinci rear hub. That works extremely well especially as there is no gear change problems. +Bobby Vogt We usually use a smaller Topeak Handlebar bag (Tour Deluxe) - it depends on the battery that a customer wants. The batteries are lithium ion.
