Thanks for the update vid. For info, in the UK, aviation warning lights are required from 45 metres and above, so without the top section I’d guess Ice Blast is under 45m so no longer needs the warning light

Sand blasting is used to remove old paint, it's like rubbing sandpaper at a rapid pace

Primer is grey. They would need to sheet the tower to paint and blast it

Ooo now that is cool a new paint job and the test they do to check for cracks in the structure is called NDT testing which is short for None Destructive Testing they sand blast various parts of the structure usually the weaker points and then they paint on a special paint which can be seen under uv light and when uv light is shone on it that will reveal any cracks in the structure
