For snow and ice effects with paint, I would add a light drybrush of a pearl paint, the pearlescent effect on parts of it adds a tiny bit of the sparkle to it beyond other things.

This was fantastic work and reminded me of my great ideas, plans and thus great laziness: I don't like 50 board games in my shelves, it looks like a day care. What I had planned on doing was making hollow over-size magical tomes the board games would fit in, and box sets ala your book nook; sans the minis ofc. Making an AWESOME display of "huge arcane tomes" in my shelves.....but really just Gloomhaven, Tainted Grail ect.

I've yet to start my first adventure into making my own diorama. 2020 was the year to get to know the craft through awesome artists like you and 2021, after watching videos just like this to inspire me, feels...
