Did you know? 🤔 There are lyrical adaptations of the ice cream truck jingle "Turkey in the Straw." Links to the videos accompanying said adaptations are listed below! Please, do me a favor though: if an adaptation you know about isn't listed below, yet is appropriate for all ages, please leave a link in your comment below, and I'll add it at my own discretion! I will not link to any controversial adaptations, so don't waste your time.

This was played many times in my life growing up. I miss my youth quite a bit. My sister used to run out and get treats for her and I. I had a fun life growing up. I did some audio edits to make it sound precisely like the ice cream truck I heard growing up. My earliest memories of this were from the age of 4 or 5 years old. ☺☺ You'll even get the sensation that it sounds like an outdoor recording. I hope you enjoy, and if you lived this in your childhood, comment below about your experiences. ☺
Note: this tune has innocent roots. There should be no room for confusion there. Please keep your comments respectful, and if you need to, pretend you're writing your comment in front of an audience of 300 school kids. Thank you. I hope you find peace and joy in every day. Look for it. :) It's there.
*IMPORTANT: READ THIS PART IF YOU'RE OVER 18, THANK YOU* Here is a link to a Wikipedia article that discusses a very sensitive topic surrounding the application of this tune to ice cream trucks. en.m.wikipedia... While this is a sad truth, don't let it rob you of your fond memories of this song as a child. Remember all of the ice cream. Remember the happy times. Shout-out to @davidabremner for explaining the history more clearly. I also apologize to anybody that I've caused offense to - I know I have defensive tendencies about my childhood, mainly because I don't want to taint my cherished memories. THAT BEING SAID, I expect the comment section to remain on topic of getting ice cream from a truck as a child. So, if you wish to acknowledge awareness of this, a simple "acknowledgement appreciated" comment will suffice. Thank you for helping build happy conversation in the comments. 🙂
