When I was 6 the Good Humor truck drove down our street like it was the Indy 500. This was back in 1959. I was so traumatized that I cried for 5 hours. I was thinking of suing the company because every time I heard the jingled I went into fits of hysteria and couldn't stop crying. Very true! To clarify for everyone, the original melody comes from Turkey in straw by Irish immigrants in America. It's all over youtube and it's typically rendered by bluegrass bands. It was Billy the Kid's favorite tune and he used to ask the Coe brothers to play it when he danced with the local Mexican girls in Lincoln County, New Mexico.
