I can't even describe how much I love this video. I used to watch Pump It Up religiously back in the day, but I never saw this episode. Ice Cube's house on the block? His mom? His home studio? Gold and Platinum records hung up in his living room? GTFO this is pretty much the best video ever. Not to mention the fact that they're playing Blades of Steel on NES at the end. I loved it back when rappers were pretty much normal dudes.
@cofside9 жыл бұрын
You people may not realize how significant a moment in time this video represents. In fact this could be or is the last interview with the entire original nwa group. The D.O.C. album was the last and one of the best original NWA records. Between NWA and the posse, Ez does it, Straight outta Compton, and DOC no one can do it better, the DOC is right up there ! Not to mention the last track on DOC's record is the Grand Finale which is probably the second or third best track NWA ever put down as a group song. Of course a couple months later Ice Cube left the band. The Band would never fully recover.

I'm not discounting how good Cube was, with NWA pre N4L. Cos the original line up, with Cube, was fucking dope. The good ones die young, hey. They came up fast, went way up, and came down pretty hard, after the band breaking up, cube leaving etc. They were phenomenal.

Damn this is a masterpiece, I never heard doc get to speak before his accident, I mean I've heard his music obviously, when we lived in Irving Texas, a Dallas suburb, because my uncle worked for Microsoft in Las Colinas Texas, so he will be playing basketball at center Park, this rec center we all used to go to his kids, and he'll be playing basketball with my uncle, and it was the first time I ever met him

Best part of growing up in the 90s is how humble fellas were respected. Didn’t need to be in Jordan’s and starter gear to be cool. Now its all about following each other , now adays nobody has there own style.
