Sorry. didnt mean to resort to name calling. It was a joke...My opinion, Ice Cube is obviously a very smart and talented person. Especially to still be relevant in today's age. the 'show biz' is so crazy...remember those first few albums he came out with? Very smart. Once G-funk was on the rise, people (especially rappers from out west) stopped making concious type records to a more laid back, gangsterfied persona. He "dumbed down his lyrics" is what Im saying. When stating an opinion of his, he has to balance both personas. There is Ice Cube the rapper that we all know, and O'shea Jackson who plays that character.
@martyc9098 жыл бұрын

This right here is one of the main reasons why Ice Cube is respected amongst the hiphop world. The man is top 10 of all time without a doubt. Intelligent and very articulate.

Ice Cube has always been an intelligent man. Most people don't really listen or even understand his lyrics.

Amazing that Cube was only in his early 20s during this interview, being interrogated like a man twice his age over decades of conflict and systemic racism, being accused of anti-semitism, etc. He more than held his own, very politely given the questions thrown his way, and made his interviewer look foolish even to her own audience.

She's so aggressive, that's incredible he remained so calm and in control throughout

literally he never said every journalist is Jewish. She actually put words in his mouth. Perfect example of bad journalism. Immediately after an African-American caller calls out young black entertainers being treated unfairly and conveniently “ they have to go to a break” this reporter is terrible, and the media at the time and even now treats the people (groups) unfairly for the interests of the government and achieving their goals. Cube did great despite is age and experience.

Clearly she is jewish herself, why else would she have taken it so personally? Literally the personification of "cries out in pain as they strike you". Ironically she is validating everything Cube said with her actions in this interview.

"Of course they have a right to be" I admire and respect Ice Cube more than I admire any other person on this planet. He's a role model for free speech and individual expression. Does whatever he wants because he wants to do it, says it like it is and gets paid the whole god dang way.

Damn ice cube ahead of his time! This man realer than most artists at the time.. probably one the smartest too.. knew when to get out, knew when to stay low, and knew when to walk away.. he had a good woman by his side too, which I think helped.

I wanted to know more about Ice Cube and to hear it from his own mouth and not someone else’s opinion of what they “thought” he was or about. I’m a 45 yr old white guy from Kentucky. I’m ashamed I didn’t know more about him and his cause. I had great parents, good people, but I feel their personal experiences flowed into how I was raised. I wouldn’t say they were racist, but extremely ignorant in the realities of what it is to be black in this country. I will never know, but I love you all very much and I hope we all unite someday. We can learn so much from each other. Different isn’t bad, it’s just different and that’s ok. Ice Cube, Thank you. Forever a Fan of yours.
