Ironically, he was also writing verses for Eazy and Dre on the early NWA records. So really, he was just saving his best lyricism for himself. 😆 For real, though, after Cube left, the whole NWA vibe shifted. The beats got nastier, which I appreciated, but lyrically, they were rarely on the same insightful level. Because the guy who wrote the majority of their dopest rhymes was off doing it on his own solo joints.

I liked the Straight Outta Compton movie, but don't feel that big-screen format does justice to a story like Cube's. He's needs a definitive autobiography, or a Netflix-style series detailing his life and career.
