Matt, I run a low pressure ice dam steaming company and have a lot of knowledge about steam. These units sound great but I'm having a hard time believing that these machines are capable of low pressure steam. Can you do another video with a pressure and temp gauge combo to show us? Also are you imputing cold water in these machines or hot? I know the Northstar "Wet Steamer" units are only capable to run steam temps if you imput 140 degree hot water....And those wet steamers cannot run low psi. Kind of defeats the purpose because you can't demand hot water all day from a homeowner.... Looking forward to your quick response. If these are legit I could move a bunch.... Thanks

Thanks for your comments. We are running cold water from our well into the machine here in the video. The unit, without question is producing low pressure steam. However, your idea of a pressure / temp gauge is a good one. We only stock these steam capable units for the ice dam season, and now that its over, I just sold my last unit yesterday. We won't be getting more until they are needed for next season. My current stock of machines are hot water pressure washers, not "combo units" which can produce steam like the unit in the video. I would like to do a video for the future though... stay tuned. The fact that they can produce either hot water or steam is no mystery. We match the BTU input of the fuel nozzle to the GPM from the pump in a way that gives the water enough heat before it exits the chamber. We use a K7 unloader for safety as to not trap steam pressure in the hose and coil. The K7 has to be set up correctly with the right sized orifices so it comes out of bypass when the trigger is pulled. Although the old style open gun steam units are without question effective, I believe our units are more versatile 365 days a year because they are also hot pressure washers. This makes them great for washing trucks and equipment. I also like the gas engine units for steaming ice dams because you are not depending on the homeowner's electricity to get the job done, and lugging a genset can be difficult sometimes. Thanks again -Matt
