I wish they would come up with a heat cable system that didn't run through the gutters and downspout. These cables prohibit debris from moving freely through the gutter by creating an obstacle. Not to mention they make cleaning the gutters a huge pain.

Heat tape ABOVE the gutter hangers? Another idiot installation. . .Most people just don't get it, and they'll help keep you in the steaming business.
