When I was older; me, my brother and my grandpa went to a yard sale and went to this one house and they had this set in box and in awful condition for sale. I happen to not have brought any money cause I was a dumb old teen while my brother had like 200 dollars or sum like that. We ask the lady how much it was and she said it was for her kid but he was old and dosent play with toys and since we were lil kids she would sell it to us for 50 dollars. He, who had money, bought it and I helped build it and played with it for a while once we got home. After a couple of hours we fought for who knows what and he takes it to his room and locks the door. He apologizes and takes me back to his room a while later to introduce me to a broken down dragon with missing pieces that will be forever lost to time. He beat the living shit out of me. As of now I still have the Dx Zane and the body, head, and hat of crazy; and followed by the feet, wings and claws of the dragon. Will never forget that had I bought that dragon, it could have been all in one piece and in good condition. My brother later died of a heart attack, the dragon is the only memory I have left of him.

This set is one of the most nostalgic sets for me, I wanted it so much as a kid so my mom bought it for me a couple weeks before my birthday, then comes my birthday and my best friend and his parents had bought the set for me, my reaction was that I could make it into a two headed dragon and maybe get two more to make a four headed dragon(This was before the four headed dragon was a thing)

Actually it doesn't use ccbs joint but the earlier bionicle joint from '08 which have a tendency to crack upon taking them a part or using to much force while posing

I think they added orange onto Shard's face and claws because, if I'm not mistaken, they used the same lower jaw piece for all four Dragons, and the orange on the jaw would've looked out of place otherwise.

That was my first Ninjago set when I was in high school. I really loved the design of it. But, it was beaten by Jay's Lightning Dragon set of that same year. Altough, I always wonder why this wasn't in the Legacy series?

Wow the neck joint on my ice dragon is broken in the same spot, also the lower rubber jaw is alot looser now cuz ive used it alot, funny that im currently rebuilding it to put next to my new legacy fire dragon set XD

Guess how stupid I was when i was a little kid. So my dad just bought me and my brother the golden dragons from season 2. So we each had 1. I threw mine. I forgot why but i threw it and the other ended up breaking into pieces a few years later. I still have most of the pieces i think I might be able to rebuild it.

I got the 2011 Garmadon dark fortress set brand new for $300 a few months ago and I refuse to open it. The fire temple in my opinion isn’t worth the $500 even though I need it to complete my Ninjago 2011 collection.
