Ice Fishing at Flaming Gorge with Cabuya Handlines

Ice Fishing 2020.
We used our Cabuya Handlines to catch some Burbot and Lake trout. We are pretty new to the whole ice fishing scene, but it has become a winter favorite.

It got pretty cold. Even with a propane heater in the tent (vented for safety). But nothing like being on the ice at night while is is groaning and cracking as it grows and looking up at the stars with no light pollution.

done right it is super fun if you haven't tried it yet. This was our second time up there. At night the ice sounds like your gut after eating from Maverik as the ice grows in the cold. Really trippy.

The sunlight outside the tent filters through the ice and water. It makes it literally glow inside the tent.
