Finally a new vid! I know what it’s like guys, when the cold weather comes in fishing can be HARD!!! Great vid though! I have a sick pike fishing lake up near me in North Yorkshire and it’s totally free to fish and it’s filled with jacks! There is loads of big ones up to 35lb my biggest out of the lake was 8lb! I hope I’m gonna catch a nice big one over winter!!!!!
@vitas754 жыл бұрын
Been ice fishing for pikes all my lofe. First time seeing such a high tech setup. I just take a stick, tie the line ij the middle, weight, metal leash and hook. We use live bait. I stick the stick vertically some way from the hole, and if i get a bite it falls down and gets dragged by the pike til its over the hole. Pull with the hands. This was how my father and grandfather fished for pikes. Goes back maaany generations probably.
@olly65256 жыл бұрын
12:03 you need to keep the tension in the rod when you have a pike on, as much temptation you may have to let the rod down to reel, don’t do it as the pike can spit bait really easily when you do this. Keep tension and reel in 👍
@vitas754 жыл бұрын
So true. Their mouths are very bony, so the hooks just hand on a bone, and if you losen it up, the hook just falls out.

Very well done , you guys even made pike fishing exciting, love the underwater strike video section Need to get those traction thing to put under your boots or shoes , so you can run on the ice and not slip That’s still pretty risky , when it just take 2-3 strikes from the ice chipper to go through the ice to make the hole (Thin ice)

Nice pikes! You should travel to north America to fish our muskellunge. And you should try shaking a can of carbonated drink and throw it in the freezer to keep it cold... it doesn't freeze so it should be ok.
