Foraging isn't wierd. Mushrooms are amazing. If u Know what you're looking for. And delicious There are places to fimd truffles in UK now also. So many nice varieties of mushrooms. I've recently started myself but been watching things on KZbin about it for ages. Mushrooms and fishing, happy days. Magic mushrooms are fun also lol. Great video fellas. Keep up the good work
@iainmayo44574 жыл бұрын
Btw that's breaded mushrooms. Not battered. Try olive oil, little chilli flakes, garlic, tiny bit of shallot or onions and parsley. Little bit of butter and cream. Served on toast. Delicious (cooked quickly, all together with the foraged mushrooms ofcourse)

Don't forget that the mushroom/fungi is the fruiting body only, so the plant is living throughout the dead tree there and will fruit again many times over. The spores from the mature fungi will infect other trees and create more fungi, so great to leave some there. Lovely fishing film, as always.

The foraging for mushrooms part brought back some fond memories of my late teens when I left my parents house to live off grid and more in touch with nature. The part where you found the mother lode had me grinning like a Cheshire cat mate. Nothing beats the fulfillment of gathering your own food. That being said: It's so good to see you guys back fishing again! Here in the Netherlands we were allowed to fish during the lockdown so I really felt for you. Enjoy!
