Solid outing on the frozen water that started precariously. Thought it was the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals game 6....it's like a yard sale down there. Initially I hoped for more pike but the bass were stealing the show brother. Great work chirping your bud he finally got the one gouging on all of his bluegill. Totally my line...thanks for sharing Matt. Glad your sled survived.

One of the best ice-fishing videos I have watched. I hope you don’t lose any rod/reels with that rod holder setup you are using.
@ndyakangler3 жыл бұрын
I actually had the rod in the holder backwards most of the day, it was supposed to go through the other way. It still caught the rod enough to not slip out the way I had it but it does hold it much more secure when used properly.

@@ndyakangler Good deal, don’t want any equipment slithering down the hole‼️I bet a Shimano Vanford 500 would make one fine ice-fishing spinning reel. I have a Vanford 2000 that I just started using for trout. Superb, high-tech spinning reel!

@@charlesr.aliffjr.4050 I’m really happy with those Okuma Ceymar reels I’ve been using. They feel really solid, have an awesome drag, and the bail is nice and snappy which I like. They make them in a bait feeder version too which would be awesome for those tip downs!

@@aleckrug1554 we took our jet boat out about a week ago in nw pa and there was very little ice on lakes we saw and no ice on the river (Allegheny). The situation may be different now, though. Perhaps the alignment of the jet stream has put you guys in more sustained cold temps. We get a decent amount of snow here, im in a more mountainous area and we average about 80"/year.
