Hey Eric, you looked like the teacher today with a class full of students wanting to catch their first steelhead of the season. Thanks for explaining your set up and how the jaw jacker works. You guys have a great fishery there that extends well into the winter months. Great day on the hard water, really enjoyed the video.

I wish the river that is in Michigan would freeze its not that far from where I live the current is to fast and water to low. I can winter fish it but it seems fun thru the ice

Subscribed. Do you NEED a hooksetter device or could i just use a regular pole and vexilar like normal fishing? Might head up that way in a week or 2. Also do you NEED the egg sacks or would just a minnow work or other basic bait work? Are tip ups allowed out there? Sry for so many questions i just skimmed thru the video didnt watch 100% of it. Thanks

Hey Eric, I’m coming to Racine from central Illinois. Can I park where you parked in between that restaurant and the Pugh marina? Or do you have permission? It looks like the only other place to park is down at the Pugh recreation area and then walk up river. Long walk to recharge auger battery’s… Thanks for any info you can provide. Also, awesome video, hope I can catch a couple.

Thanks for great advice, as usual! I am wondering if you use a certain rod for fishing these large trout, and what test you prefer? I have only ice fished for panfish and am wondering if this would require all new rod/reel/line setup. TIA!

Hey Eric, I’m looking to buy two ice rods and reels able to handle the Jawjacker setup and if possible still go for smaller fish inland. Is this type of setup possible? Also looked on your site and most of the rods are sold out could you recommend some similar st croix rods or similar? Usually like to support local companies but also saw Jawjacker says Jason Mitchell poles work well. Thanks liking all the videos just subscribed
@wibigfishcom2 жыл бұрын
We appreciate the support! Our rods will be back in stock on the site on Wednesday. The Jaw Jackers work great with a lot of different rods because of the very fine tuning they provide. I would recommend our 40” medium for that type of application.

I was on your site again yesterday evening and it said the rods were sold out still…. Is there a st croix or Jason Mitchell you could recommend for the time being want to get one for this season

Great video! I have one of your bait casting rods and love it. Which spinning rod would you recommend for 20 - 25 inch Lakers thru the ice? Usually using a lot of 3/8 to 3/4 ounce jig heads.

Would these 40 inch jaw jacker rods make fun jigging rods?
@wibigfishcom3 жыл бұрын
Yes they make great jigging rods for trout as well as hooksetting devices. We designed them to be very universal!
