I live right across the hwy from where you were fishing. That’s a good spot for crappie at night as well. Might even pick up a bonus eye.

Shawano has a good variety if you can get on them for sure. If you do sort through them you can have a good meal. I have never caught a walleye on shawano tho :(

@@wisconsinangling3054 I have a few spots where I usually get some. I’ll be heading out tomorrow afternoon when I’m done working. I’m hoping with the full moon and the warmer temps they are biting. I could point you in the right direction if you would be interested

My Home lake. Spent many hours out there. Good to see the strategy hasn't changed, catch a bunch of little ones to get a few big ones. Still a great time out there!

Always seem to have to sort through the little ones but if you do it enough you’ll get a few big ones! 👍🏻

your right. lots of dinks between the big ones

Hey man I've been fishing out on shawano lake for two years and I can't find good perch. I have caught a lot of little ones. Could you give some pointers on where to go? I've been out in an about 9ft of water off Cecil bay
@wisconsinangling3054 Жыл бұрын
Hey Juston, I know in that video we were in 13-15 feet of water. I’d say we got a little lucky but we were quite a ways out of Cecil bay, we were maybe a half mile out and seemed to be on nice ones that day👍🏻

Parents had a cabin on the west side of the lake, usually fished that side, lot's and lot's of dinky perch, saw a few larger fish on the camera but never got one top side, still nice place to fish..
@wisconsinangling30542 жыл бұрын
Agreed, shawano is pretty notorious for dinky perch at this point. Gotta know the lake really well to catch a limit of eaters and avoid the dinks.

My home lake also, love the video That was definatly a jumbo lol. found a new spot out there got 7 walleye after dark in one night usually only get 3-4 n 1 keeper if your lucky. The fishing has turned around and it’s nice to see 5 min from home. Get away from the crowd try something new it paid off extremely well. Happy fishing!

Hello Kyle. Perfect weather for fishing. How long does it take for a perch to grow up - to be pan size for eating? I am looking forward to your next video.
@wisconsinangling30542 жыл бұрын
I’d say perch grow at the rate of 2.5 inches per year. I would keep perch at the minimum size of 8…but prefer 9-10 inches.

Love the videos 😊 just love it as I'm an outdoorsman my self but, little advice I wouldn't be saying the names of the lakes so much, ive seen that happen, too many people come and then the lake is fished heavier then usual and then it's gone for everyone who live on the lake or lives near by.... Great videos man not criticizing just giving advice keep on fishing man 🎣🎣
@wisconsinangling30542 жыл бұрын
I agree, not too big on saying lake names, I figured saying shawano lake was okay because it is a huge lake and due to how packed it is every time I’ve gone there even before this video. I was hoping to just show people shawano doesn’t have just small ones and there are some big perch in there if you work for them👍🏻
