As a kid I grew up in minnesota.we had a shanty on mille lacs.it was placed in the mud flats area.it was such a thrill to watch your bobber go down through the hole and under the ice.it could be a walleye a perch or eel pout.plenty of them.lots of memories.when I describe ice fishing to people in Kentucky they look at me like I'm from outer space.maybe we were.......
@smerchly Жыл бұрын
My Dad called them eel pout , but we now call them Ling or Burbot , great eating fish . I don't call it fshing when a camera is used to find and catch fish , I call it "catching", not fishing . We can't catch fish these days without using a slew of electronics . I hope it's 100% catch and release ...

@@krystek3054 ah OK. Walleye are among the most popular fish in the states because of how they taste so I was just wondering how Zander would compare. My favorite fish to eat are northern pike believe it or not. Plus they fight so hard. Way harder than a walleye.
@krystek3054 Жыл бұрын
@@spencerhauck690 I believe because most predatory fish are tasty. When it comes to the fishing aspect, the pike, due to its size, gives more impressions :) Maybe in Poland there are not as many catfish as big as on the Ebro River (Spain), but professionals can catch really big ones. the record is 260 cm.
