A week before Christmas, Buffalo agrees to lend a hand to an RCMP initiative to fly toys to isolated communities in the north. But a series of problems with the Electra leave the company in a jam. An excess of holiday freight overwhelms cargo manager Kelly, and despite a visit from her buddy Arnie Schreder, recovering from his cancer treatment, her stress peaks after a clash with Joe.

If they accepted Christ as their savior then they absolutely are. In the military they say there's no such thing as an atheist in a foxhole. Kelly and Arny knew what was coming so hopefully they had at least enough upbringing to know who to turn to before they passed. And before those of you that scorn me I'm sorry to rattle your cage but this is the most important subject of all time so I'm concerned for everyone here. Remember this Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess to God. Romans 14:11 A fool says in his heart there is no God. Psalm 14:1 Whosoever will may come and take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:17. I stand at the door and knock. If ANYONE hears my voice and opens the door I will come in and dine with him and he with me. Revelation 3:20 Taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Rev 34:8 Come unto me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for YOUR souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Mat 11:28

I totally understand Kelly's position as it took place here. I feel sorry for employers who have so little compassion, and lack the grace to appreciate good employees. I, too, wound up working in a position doing the work of three people! It came on gradually over the 10 years I was in the job. The job of ER clerk, the job of training new employees, ordering supplies, being a night supervisor, running the switchboard for the entire hospital at night, being responsible for entire fire alarm board at night, and contacting the plant supervisor/civil engineer and fire departments in case of disaster or emergency; (which did happen, one night, a fire, which I was in charge evacuating the ER, notifying the fire department, directing police officials and fire personnel, and running a 10 line switchboard, and the internal com system--ONE person, plus securing my computer and patient records! I was also in charge of OB patient admittance and surgical patient admits when it got to five am. My shirt ran from 8pm to 8am. I can count on one hand in 10 years that I had my lunch breaks and 10 minutes on my shifts! When I finally quit, they went through six employees in one year who could NOT do my job. They had the guts to contact me at my new DAY job to beg me to comeback and work for them again, with the promise of the restoration of all of my unused 300 hours of sick pay, 3 months of vacation pay, and all of my other benefits. Plus a raise from my former hourly wage of 10.64 and hour to 15.40 an hour. That was a lot back in 1993 for an ER clerk/supervisor. I could not longer take the stress. I had been held hostage at knife point by a socio-psychopath for 20 minutes, with phone ringing off the hook on a very quiet night in the ER. NONE of my coworkers thought enough of me, to bother to check to see why the phones were not being answered. Yet they knew it was against policy to allow them to ring like that. Instead they sat on their butts drinking coffee out of sight in an alcove and called the Nursing supervisor on duty and complained I was not doing my job! It was not until the MD on duty hit the intercom to contact me out front that finally the hostage taker allowed me to speak guardedly, and I was allowed to pick up the phone, and through a series of yes and no answers did everyone realize my true situation. Then everyone panicked but the MD, who came to my rescue, after I had talked the guy down, and he surrendered his knife to me, blade first. Then I faced a man with a loaded gun. and after that, I quit. WE had no protective glass, no panic button and no cameras. It was 2 years after I left that all of this equipment was installed. Finally they hired 2 people to do my job and a part time person to do the remainder. One person was killed, one person had a nervous breakdown. Today that same hospital is no longer in operation. I am sorry for Kelly and Arnie. Hopefully they rest in peace. They worked for a very cruel task master. This is the way of the world. I am glad I put my faith in God. I am now almost 60. I was 21 years old when I had that job. It was my best paying job, with the best benefits, but the most mentally and physically punishing job I ever had in my life.

@@thomasm1964 i currently work in arctic and been a rampie for other companies too.
