Haha, I mean you are correct about everything but I still enjoyed it! The subsequent books are quite different from the first one, and they all have more plot and world building than the first one. Some of your predictions were correct, it just happens a few books in. As an aside, the closest sci fi romance to radiance is probably Strange Love by Ann Aguirre, where the "guy" is some kind of insectoid alien.

i picked up radiance and entreat me based on your rec, loved them. currently going through all of grace draven's works. master of crows was a DNF but im enjoying everything else so far. anyways, when is the jade city discussion coming??

yeah, I didn't love Master of Crows, it wasn't terrible, but nowhere as good as Radiance or Entreat Me imo - but then, I tend not to like enemies to lovers

I read this on KU and I did read the scene. It started out so dark and then got so cheesy. I was thinking do I really want to go down this rabbit hole. I haven’t even tried the others yet because I was afraid to. I like my romance but this was just out there.

@@LienesLibrary I really didn’t think it was well written and I know Mara (books like whoa) seems to really enjoy. But it just wasn’t for me. I don’t mind steamy but I just thought this was ridiculous. I may have read more than 20 pgs but I wasn’t very far when I decided I just didn’t care😂
