Best moment was catching my first ever shallow water Simcoe laker. Boy do they ever fight different in 24 feet of water. Left, right, up down. Keeping your line off the end of the ice is a constant worry, but wow is it ever fun. Thanks for the videos throughout the season Steve!

Love all the vids. I have learned a lot from watching them. My fav memory from this hard water season was while fishing with my brother I tied on the drifter for the first time while watching a live feed from sea bass. I asked him how he liked the new bait and before he could even reply I landed my first ever laker thru the ice. Best day we had all season. Keep up the great vids.

Great vids. From landing monsters to seeing you set the hook on a whitie as you fumble the rod in the air or dealing with a temperamental sled trying to start it after a day out. Good honest footage that never fails to entertain. My most memorable moment was was dragging my wife out for perch last season. Once she got in the swing of things I had no time to fish as I was taking fish off and baiting her rig. This season she made every single outing and has out fished me most days.

Hello Steve I am 14 and I live 3 hours from you in Bancroft and you and seb have inspired my to fish more lakers thru the ice. The best ice fishing memory I have is when we were fishing for lakers in 50 feet of water and my 11 year old brother hooked into a 38 inch 14 pound pike and I helped him bring it in and land it and it was the biggest pike he had ever caught and the biggest fish of his life and it made me so happy to see the smile on his face when we landed it and he said it's bigger than any fish you have ever caught and I had to agree with him.

One of my most favourite ice fishing memory is when me and my dad were on lake simcoe looking for some whitefish . I haven't caught a whitefish ever before. The day seem pretty slow me and my dad were both using vibrates but nothing would bite, so I decided to switch over to a meegs as I followed what Tom from fatal force outfitters did I marked one the gently bounce it on a the bottom I felt that the lure was gone so when I set the hook Fish on! Just 5 min after another fish more and more that day. That's my favourite ice fishing memory on lake simcoe.

I wouldn't say this is the best memory but I will certainly remember it for ever. At the beginning of the season me and a couple of buddies went searching for splake. We went to a lake that produced very well for us last year. We moved around all over the lake, tried different depths, used all the lures in the tackle box only to get skunked. All 3 of us. But you know what they say: a day on the water is better than any day in the office, or is it? When we came back to the car it felt like a scene in that stupid comedy : Dude, where is my car? The car was no longer where I left it... No idea what happened to it. So here we were, the 3 of us stranded on the side of the road, in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of gear, almost night outside, minus 20 degrees and the phones dead. Lovely. At least there were no kids and no significant others with us lool. Not too many cars passing by either. Took 15 minutes for someone to stop. I asked to borrow the phone and I called police. They told me my car was towed. Beautiful. I got the towing company number. 45 km away. Back to waiving at cars to stop so I can get a ride to pick up the car as the towing company said they will take 1h30min to come and get me. So after 30 minutes a nice young couple stopped and offered to take me. One hour later I picked up my car. Gave my saviors $20 for their kind ride. Paid the tow truck $113 to get my car back. Wished them Merry Christmas as it was right before Christmas. And back I went to pick up my friends from the side of the road. Another hour drive. One of them caught a bad cold that day...oh well. That's my story. Hope you guys enjoyed it.

Steve Rowbotham I was hoping for that too but didn't go as planned haha. I was with bear point and it was when we got rain in mid-late February. One of the blocks holding up our hut came loose in the middle of the night and ended up in our hole so the whole shack was completely on an angle. Did my best to fix it but was still pretty wobbly with the uneven ice. She wasnt too happy but was still fun. 😂

My favourite video was actually the video where tom taught you how to use the meegs. I would love to myself learn that technique. It was amazing how one subtle change in how you fish the jig can change your catch rate so significantly. just goes to show that sometimes its not that the fish arent biting that lure, but you just arent fishing it the way they want it. Demonstrates the importance of learning to fish a bait properly. really interesting in my eyes. in terms of my personal favourite memory, it was my first time ice fishing ever which was this year for perch and we absolutely smacked them, caught roughly 50 fish each between three of us. Ive tried for whitefish and lakers but have had no luck. hopefuly if I win, these meegs will help me out LOL #tightLines and keep fishing!

Steve, my best ice fishing memory happened this past ice season with a fish I didn't even catch. My daughter is 10 and has come out numerous times and got skunked until this year. She baited her jig on her own and a few hours goes by. My other daughter needed me so I left the 10 year old in the tent alone. Well wouldn't you know it, she caught her first fish through the ice and landed it herself. It wasn't a keeper pike but it was a trophy in her eyes and better than any other fish I've ever caught when I saw the look of pride in her face when I came back in the tent. I'd love some Meegz jigs to share with her for next year. She's hooked now.

Most memorable time ice fishing was from a few years back. Not my best but most memorable. I was using a 5 gallon bucket as a toilet one afternoon as I was trying out a new area for pan fish. ( I have IBS and use the bucket a lot). On this day the MNR came by to check my catch and license, but while I was sitting pants down on the bucket mid poop! I was in a portable hut and used my jacket to cover myself as he opened my zipper door. " catch any fish"? He asked, "nothing yet"I said. Then he asked for my license, and as I stretched to give it to him he tripped on some equipment I had outside the hut and fell into the hut. In the process of him falling he hit my bucket, which caused me to loose my balance and fall of my throne. After I fell I could hear the officer ask if I was ok and as I opened my eyes I could see that my bucket spilled onto his jacket. You think that's bad he was on all fours in the hut with my stormy poops on him and he was right next to my buddy heater. Yes his clothing did get a bit burnt, but that image of him rolling in my bucket run off to put out his clothes was too funny. Afterward he apologized for the mess and I agreed not to tell anyone. But I've told everyone I could just not his name and badge #

My old man and I were out fishing pike on georgian bay when he got a phone call from my brother to go and pick him up on the snowmobile. My dad put his rod down but didnt secure it very well and sure enough as soon as he let it go a pike smashed his bait and there went his rod down the hole...I said "that was not so smart..." my dad just stared down the hole in disbelief that his fishing rod was gone I continued fishing and my dad continued to sit and stare in disappointment at his fishing hole, when about a minute later my dad jumped up in a flash and shoved nearly his entire arm down the hole and pulled out a fishing rod and began fighting the pike...the pike came up the hole and his line snapped. I swooped in and quickly grabbed the pike. The pike had literally swam away with his rod that floats...and then swam back past the hole slow enough that the rod floated back up his hole...Dinner was on the pike that night.

Tbis was the first season in approximately 3 years that I went ice fishing again. Mostly from consrantly getting skunked. I give credit to Tom from Fatal Force Outfitters for teaching me how to properly use the Meegs. This season was the first time I iced more than 1 or 2 a day. Credits to you Steve as well I watxh your videos as well and have learned lots. So excited for next hard water season I think of it all the time....

Favorite moment of the season for me was first ice. Hooked a huge Laker, snapped the reel right off my rod and broke the tip off. Didn’t manage to land it but I could see it through the ice. My favorite moment of your vids is probably watching you eat shit when you were fishing with Bulaw.

Meegs Me!!! Favorite memory this season was the weekend before season closer. Had an insane day with a buddy and couldn't keep the whitefish off our lines. We lost count of how many we landed and probably missed just as many lol. All fish came on the Meegs!

aaaahhhhh, steve 5 seasons deep and still no white fish for me lol . Caught a laker though, that was amazing. I did miss a few bites while fishing for whities so thats a start. I cant stop laughing though, when it comes to your vids. I remembered all the thumbs up you got, and that one dick head that would always thumbs down you .. Some depressed ice fisherman i suppose. Im cleaning out the gear and putting things away for the season, and i am already looking forward to jan 1st 2019. Keep up the great work brother, love your vids. PS, don't worry about that one hater lol

It's difficult to pick one memory. I would have to say anytime you going out ice fishing and you're spending time on the hard water with your buddies or by myself that's a good memory. But this year the best memory would have been mid February when I went double digits for the Whitefish my first time ever. Oh yeah by the way you can never have enough meegs jigs so I hope I win this giveaway
