when you aero during the battle with ice titan, his icicle shards become bigger and you cannot deflect them.

I usually take Goofy instead of Donald for the phantom fight, since Goofy has more item slots for ethers and doesn't waste his mp using the wrong kind of magic.

NEVER USE AERO in the ice titan battle. it makes the shards impossible to deflect, and (no offense) that's why it took so long. it's also best if you have superglide, because if you fly from one side of the arena to the next, you can deflect the shards that fly out as he's turning around to face you, therefore he takes more damage. if u need superglide, defeat chernabog in the end of the world.

I played recently on the HD version and found I didn't even need to move. I just made sure I had a lot of MP and deflecting did the rest.

First time fighting Phantom I didnt know how to fight him and that I needed to use Stopra so I had the hardest time with him than the others

Thanks for the tip on Kurt Zisa's horizontal spin. I could never seem to dodge that. I'll be sure to try it next time. Also if you have Aero on while Phantom does his Doom Flame attack (I made up the name, so don't quote me on this) the flame will just fizzle out before it hits you.

I still love this game since my childhood and I've had it on PS2 since I was 10 years old at the time. I've had a hard time fighting the phantom one, but with the help of my cousin who's a big fan of Kingdom hearts I overcame and won after beating this game.

Was there an order for the optional bosses??? I played years ago but quit because I couldn't defeat Kurt Zisa. I remember for sure beating the phantom .....and a part of me thinks I beat the ice dude and sephiroth (i think, maybe not i don't really remember) Also where do ya go if you don't verse the optional bosses because I remember thinking that I HAD to beat them and I didn't find anywhere else for me to go!

I prefer Goofy over Donald for the Phantom battle. Donald wastes all his MP, but if you use Goofy, remove his attack abilities, and give him MP Rage and MP Gift he's very useful for that fight.

there is no handicaps when you're around 70. your health is ridiculous at that point, it makes no difference, all you have to do is not roll your face on the controller.

Yeah, that's it! ^^ By the way, the day I knew Phantom existed, I was going to get an object from those windows which opened at different hours. Imagine it: -Well, let's go to... wait, why is the Fairy there? *Flies to the destiny* -What's going on? A Video? Wait, wtf is that?! I died, and I never knew how to kill it. Now I can't play again KH orthe rest of games I've got, because my PS2 died T_T But at least now I know hot to beat Phantom! :D

The Phantom was very hard for me until I found a guide for it. Kurt Zisa, however, is a bitch to fight. I followed every guide but couldn't kill him.

I remember I needed a lot of tries before beating Kurt Zisa... But I did! I was so happy... Each time I died, I got very angry, but I was closer and closer to defeat it. At the end, I learnt all the attacks and I made a strategy, so I won! Thanks for uploading this; I feel better watching my childhood ^^

a trick I use in this fight is to summon tinker bell BEFORE the negate spell. took me 20 tires to kill that Kurt Zisa bastard.

The ice shards only become large and unblockable if you cast Aero; if you don't use it, they remain small the whole time. I guess they figured it would have been too easy otherwise?...

I don't know if this has been pointed out, but the larger ice attacks are triggered by you casting Aero.
