The history of Ice711 airways. In the year 1952 Iceland was having several problems with air transportation as many people around the world wanted to visit Iceland, but could not due to the small airport and the fact that they did not have an airline. So they decided, with funds from the country and money from the government, Ice711 airways was created in Iceland, its first flight was on May 3, 1955 by a Douglas Dc-3 from the capital to Egilsstadir (Iceland). Ice711 airways started with 10 Boeing 707s and 5 Dc-3s, in the 50s Ice711 airways did not grow that much, they simply had those 5 Dc-3s and 2 707 more. In the 70s with the arrival of the 727, 737 and 747 Ice711 airways grew a lot, with 40 boeings 727, 104 boeings 737 and 20 boeings 747, at that time they sold 5 of the 707 that they had, at that time they had a total of 169 aircraft at that time. In the 80s, Ice711 airways bought a total of 60 Dc-10s and 32 beautiful L1011s, then they increased the number of the 737s to 206, they also bought 10 Boeings 767s and 16 Boeings 757s, finally, they bought 22 A330s. Despite how much it was growing, the A330 did not have a good start, since on April 22, 1989, Ice711 had its first accident, which was an A330, the reason was a fuel problem and while it fell it sank. He recovered the angle of the nose while casually heading towards a landing strip, of the 286 passengers, 36 died and 181 were injured. After that terrible incident, Ice711 airways had to stop all operations of the 727 and 707, December 2, 1989 was the last flight of the last 707 that Ice711 airways had left, the airline closed that decade with a total of 358 planes. give it a like and I'll make you a part 2 Edit: If we get 50 likes I will make part 2 Edit 2: I will make the second part in the next next video because the next video after this one don’t have enough visualizations.

Funny, I use to live in Minnesota and now I live in Tucson. In Minnesota (which you correctly guessed) the viewing are is right behind the cargo bay (where the fed ex plane goes) the MD-11 will taxi and corner right next to the viewing area to go behind the viewing area to park, everyday. And there is not much to say about the Pima museum, other than they have received new editions since I last went and I really need to go back there sometime. Hopefully I'll see you there maybe? Then I can show you how boring our city's airport is for spotting, but rather exciting for scavenging.

I was following along at home on the Oshawa one and some of the others, and the fence *DOES* line up if you look at satellite view or Google Earth. For some reason they've changed the fence and extended it back to where now they have a rectangular section of that grass adjacent to the tarmac sectioned off. What threw me off was the angle and the way the picture is cropped. It's one of those optical illusions where the edge of the tarmac looks at a glance like it's supposed to run parallel to the fence and the building behind, but it's actually a 90 degree angle. I didn't realize my mistake until I tried to recreate the angle in Google Earth.
