Icebox FRUITCAKE

This old fashioned recipe for fruitcake is not like traditional fruitcake. No baking required. A freezer or refrigerator is all you need.

My mother made it with the light colored raisins and without the coconut. Haven't made it since she passed away in 2020 so watched your video to refresh my memory. Been craving it. More like candy than fruitcake. I don't care for fruitcake or marshmallows, but love this stuff!❤

This is the same one my Mom and Grand Mother always made. This is the best fruit cake ever. Yours is exactly like mine except I some chopped dates also. But so so Yummy

This looks similar to an old recipe I have except I couldn’t read my friend’s writing on it anymore so I haven’t made it in 30 years! It does call for several kinds of candied fruit. Good to know I can use what I want. The recipe I had tasted like candy!

I’m going to try this recipe. I’ve looked at several different videos for fruit cake balls and was confused why some melted marshmallows to bind the ingredients and some put in the whole mini marshmallows. You have helped me to understand I can leave out or add ingredients to my liking without messing up the recipe. Loved the ginger bread village. Merry Christmas.
