Japanese Ice Coffee Technique. Make hot coffee and drip it slowly over ice to cool it down. Secret is to use a scale and use about half the weight of the water as ice, so you are not diluting the coffee. Normal coffee recipe is 20g of coffee and 325g of water. So, use 163 g of ice and 163 g of hot water to brew the coffee. Extraction time should be around 3 minutes for a medium roast. Grind the coffee a bit finer than usual and pour slowly to reach the 3 minute mark. Enjoy!!!!!
